Tazzy is 9 months old, female tabby. She was born in the wild, but we got her from a rescue petstore. She is a sweetheart at one moment, like when she is sleepy. But if i try to hold her when she is in one of her "moods", she bites, gowles, and is a brat. How can i show her that i am the boss NOT her, i don't hit her, and she isn't responding to the spray bottle. HELP! i love her with all my heart, but i feel like she hates me!

Hello, and thanks in advance for any input! I've used Yahoo! Answers for so much over the past several months, and now it's my turn to finally ask a question. I have a four and a half month kitten that I have had since he was about eight weeks old. I have been feeding him Merrick canned cat food for the majority of that time, and he seems to love it, and it agrees with him; his coat is incredibly shiny and soft.

I chose Merrick brand cat food for many reasons, including the fact that they offer 8 different flavors of food. My kitten loves them all (so far) and I know this because I feed a different flavor everyday. I have read a lot on how it's not great to offer a varied diet, and I wonder if this is considered a varied diet in the sense that the main ingredients change daily, or if it isn't as all the ingredients (except for the main ones) are consistent on a day to day basis.

Does anyone have any suggestions, recommendations, or experience with this?

Thanks in advance!

We're low on money right now and I was wondering if it's possible for tapeworms in cats to just die off without treatment? I haven't seen them in a while and he doesn't look unhealthy. how serious are they? I am worried if I have to wait a few more weeks to get the medicine. I have an OTC treatment for roundworms but I'm pretty sure it does nothing for tapeworms.

My mom gave me a couch and to find out her cat has peed in the corners of the couch and it is very foul. I want to know what will not only take away the smell but prevent the smell from coming back.
I know cats urine are amonia based so cant use most household products that have amonia.
What will kill that proteine in cats urine and break down those crystals. I DONT WANT THE SMELL TO COME BACK.
Does natures miracle or urine off work permanently so I wont have to spend money reapllying.
Should I just buy a new couch? :-(

I'm gonna get a new cat, but I can't decide where to get it. PetSmart, they have already spayed/Nudered cats.
Or Animal Control, most of the cats aren't fixed, and cost 40$.

By the way, what's the average price for a cat at PetSmart?

fixed. They were eating canned cat food at the time. She is back now and healed up nicely. We didn't want another batch of kittens. But all of a sudden they are getting diarrea.
My husband took them off canned food and give them purina hard or dry cat food. Which is actually better for them, the dry food or the canned food.

What sort of cost is involved in setting up/co-owning a cat shelter? I was thinking either here in the UK or somewhere in europe (maybe one of the lesser-known countries)?
Any info greatly appreciated.

Recently I spent an unprecedented amount of time with my cat Ginger. I really didn't think I liked her until the other day, so that accounts for this... So anyway, we rolled around on the floor a lot together (playing and such). She goes outside too by the way (she has claws). So we got dirty and I thought I should wash her. Not realizing that cats clean themselves I proceeded to draw a bath for her. My wife informed me later that I didn't need to do that...

So I put her in the tub and tried washing her off. It was quite a struggle, and I ended up in the tub with her! This was fine until I noticed what looked like little buggers swimming around with us. Needless to say, I think I got some bugs in my hair and pubes and am not sure what to do. I am afraid to tell my wife and know she will be pissed that I got in bed with her having lice/fleas. How can I fix this issue??

my dogs are curious about him (they're both girls and very sweet)

but my kitty does nothing but hiss at them whenever they come near him.

I want for them to get along.....and i don't want this to end with my mom kicking my kitty out.... how do I get them to get along???

Cats have been documented to live over 30 years; in the Guinness Book of World Records, the oldest cat is 34-36 years. In human years a 30-year-old cat is over 130, and a 34-36-year-old cat is between 150-160. In Scotland, a cat is reported to have lived to be over 40 years old.

The average domestic cat lives 14 years, and mixed-bred cats live longer than purebred. Feral cats live about half as long as domestic cats because they have more fights, accidents, illnesses, predators, and food shortages. Cats can continue to breed even in their senior years. Twenty-year old cats have reared kittens. In human years, a cat that is 20 is about 95 years old.
So for you that keep saying that you dont know what to do take to a vet get some help for child(en)

Feral cats, by the very definition are wild animals. About the only other animals you can not shoot are endangered species. And in many cases feral cats are contributing to the endangerment by eating the endangered animal. We can not shoot the endangered animal and we can not shoot the feral cat that is eating the endangered animal.

Makes no sense

i have recently found a little 8 month old stray kitten and as we are in the middle of storm season I want to bring her inside of a night (she has no problems with this she WANTS to go inside, also she has been living in my backyard for 3 or 4 weeks,) but my problem is that my parents own another cat (they are both female and my parents cat is desexed the kitten is not, don’t worry im going to get her desexed but am slightly worried as she might have owners somewhere looking for her) anywho the older cat always hisses and makes other such noises whenever she sees my kitten and this annoys all of us. We try to get them used to eachother but the other day the older cat charged her didn’t attack though just charged but I cannot leave a kitten out in the midst of cyclone season either there is no way they can avoid eachother all night?
Please help
Also the older cat was adopted from the pound (not sure if that makes a difference)
Thanks heaps
Angil
