Its just something cats do while grooming. I dont think she's biting her nails, she's probably licking in-between her toes. My cats do it too. I don't think she would like getting hers nails cut.

Mine chew too. What they're doing is removing the side sheaths on the nails, which loosen up and fall off as the claw grows. If you check the base of your scratching post there'll be lots of these around the bottom. It's normal.

if she does it after she's just come in from outside or out of the litter box then she's probably biting her claws to get the dirt out of them.
also if she licks them afterward or licks her paws then it's part of her bathing routine.
Cat's don't need their nails cut. They cut and sharpen and file them by scratching the floor, the furniture, trees, the doorways, etc.
Also by walking their claws get filed on the floors and carpets, etc
