We're adopting a five-year-old female Manx cat and are wondering if they have any special/different behaviors of which we should be aware. We want to be the best Manx parents possible! :)

My boy cat has - in his excitement to chase down a marauding bird, trespassing cat, dog walkers, or (hissss!) a scary opossum, he has forgotten that glass is vertical barrier through which he cannot pass.

The resounding "KLUNK" is sometimes quite dramatic. He wobbles, then tries to play it off nonchalantly like "Whut? Nothing to see here, move along..."

She was a stray/possible Maine Coon mix and was outdoors before she adopted our house as her home. She fights and claws and tears me up when I try to give her needed medications (right now, ear drops) from the vets. She hates being picked up and is about 7 years old (vets approximation), so I doubt that'll change. Any suggestions on how to make this an easier process?

I was wondering if DECON MOUSE KILLER would poison my cats if they ate a mouse who eat DECON.

And if it wont hurt cats will it hurt 4 month old kittens?

I started volunteering at my Humane Society and it's a lot of fun. Sometimes I play with the cats or clean cat cages. There are two cross-eyed cats.

Well anyway, both times I have held them and played with them they have been very sweet and the info on their charts also says they are very nice. The other day I was telling my dad about them and how I hoped the one was going to get adopted I mentioned he was cross-eyed. My dad freaked out! He said "Cross-eyed cats are crazy mean. Be careful. Stay away from them." Then I asked if he was basing this off one bad expierience and he said no.

Anyway I was just wondering if cross-eyed cats have a stereotype for being mean? My dad can be really weird sometimes and once he forms and opinion he refuses to change his mind but the two I know are sweet. Thanks!

My family adopted a cat about two years ago. She has a chronic upper respitory infection. We are considering getting a second cat, but we are worried that the new cat will catch our old cat's illness?

The kitten is about 8 weeks old, and saw the vet two weeks ago to be dewormed and all. He had diarrhea before then, but now his crap mostly normal consistency (turds, but also some liquid) of a yellow-brown shade. And in one day he seems to go no fewer than 10 times - huge amounts. He eats non-stop and gets quite a round belly (and weight!) after eating. He is quite active but sometimes meows a while for no apparent reason (pain?). Is anything wrong with him? Should he be so round? Should I give him more worm medication?

she had her first litter in may we still have two of the kittens they do not feed on momma anymore. But my question is why is she ( momma ) so mean at times, just about a month ago, her son was laying under the fish tank minding his own business and here comes momma walking by and she slapped him up and then kept on walking.

The kittens were born in may. I don't understand why she is doing this even at times when we rub her belly she attacks our hands and scratches us like crazy. She isn't pregnant but I just do not understand her behavior can someone pls help?

Our cat freaks out on a 20 minute car trip! Now he is going to have to deal with 12 hours+ in a plane. I have been taking him on car rides to get him used to being in his carrier. Has anyone flown internationally with cats before and can share their experiences? Thanks!

I have already spoken to him about it about a month ago and he won't listen to me. I just went over there and there was a big pile of cat food sitting on his driveway! I spoke to his roommate and he says he tells him to stop too. My cat hasn't come home to eat in over four days. Luckily his roommate just stopped by and brought my cat back to me a minute ago. What should I do?

It is getting cold outside and my daughter and I are trying to lure a young stray cat to our home so we can give her a safe and loving home. She eats the food we put out for her and has come inside our home to sniff around, but when we shut the front door she freaked out and started jumping and running looking for a way out. we let her out - hoping she would trust us and come back again. We have a neutered 5 year old cat who would probably love a young companion, but we aren't sure how to proceed with the feral stray. Any suggestions?

My cat has hyperesthesia, "tail-chasing" disorder. It sounds funny, but it really isn't. The only medications available for this condition only supresses her urges to attack her tail. So she sleeps alot during the day and has alot of energy at night. She's attacked her tail so much that it's never had enough time to heal so it looks and feels like someone sliced her tail with a knife. I know there could be complications with the surgery, but I'm running out of options. I can't believe she has this problem and she's only 1 year 7months.
