What color is the matter coming out of his eyes ? My cats eyes water and such more in the winter because my husband smokes and all the windows have to be shut . If the stuff coming out of your cats eye is yellow or green that means eye infection and if he also has a runny nose this would imply an upper respiratory infection , both of those cases would mean a trip to the vet for anti biotics

I have no idea if this may support, but we had 6 youngster kittens, and when the time got here after they have been alleged to be opening there eyes they couldn't since there eyes were glued shut with that mucus you had been taking about. So we received some sort of clear cream that you put over there eyes day-to-day (but first you have got to clean there eyes out) And after every week or 2 there eyes had been best. To scrub there eyes simply wet a Q tip and gently clean out the mucus. Does this all make sense??? It might also be the meals your giving him. It can be hard to seek out healthful commercial food for cats. Though my loved ones lives on a farm and our cats seize mice so we do not have got to fear a lot. You could get these raw meals cubes at the pet retailer and there particularly healthy for them. The only crisis is that it can be quite high-priced. So in the event you would get a traditional meals for him or the fine you'll discover then that would help. The more desirable and healthier your cat is, the simpler his body can combat off illnesses or problems itself. Just cleaning out his eyes day-to-day will aid it not to bother him a lot. Wish you success :)

This could mean your kitten has an infection. This is a sign of feline herpesvirus infection (feline rhinotracheitis) which is the most common respiratory disease in cats. Chlamydophila felis is also a cause of conjunctivitis. I would take the kitten to the vet. At the very least they could give an antibiotic to prevent secondary bacterial infection. This is really common in kittens and probably nothing to worry about in the long run, but he may need some supportive care.

that depends on what the mucus looks like. if it's disgusting green, brown, or looks like the stuff you get out of your sinuses when you have a sinus infection (i know that's gross), then kitty probably has an infection.
if it's just some watery, almost clear stuff, then kitty probably is just having more discharge than usual.
you may want to call the vet and describe the mucus and tell him or her that you don't want to bring in the cat unless necessary, and ask if it is necessary.

It could be a sign of a respiratory infection or other health problem. A little tearing occasionally is normal. If it's more than normal, I'd have the vet check her out. Respiratory infections in cats can become quite serious if not treated.

Your cat maybe allergic to something (such as food), because my cat did this when he was a kitten and we found out that he was allergic to Cat Chow. He had a yellowish "mucus" coming out of his eyes and he was sorta starting to sneeze here and there. We stopped feeding him the cat food and a couple days later he was better.

respiratory infections are not uncommon in cats, and perhaps you might consider a visit to the vet, especially if your animal is due or overdue for vaccinations.
thank you <-- from your cat.
