My cat Fred has had this skin condtion for almost as long as I can remember, but now that he's gotten diabete's, he can no longer get the shot for this skin condition that makes it go away. So i'm wondering if there are any alternatives to this shot ? If anyone could help it's be appreciated.

Thanks.

My cat has a tail-chasing disorder, her medications aren't working very well, just making her tired. She still goes crazy for a good part of the day. EVERYDAY. Yes I'm going to talk to my vet before I make a decision.

I just recently took my cat Jazz (who is male and 4 1/2 years old) to the vet because I thought he had a broken tail as he was no longer moving it and is normally very expressive with it. I took him to the pet hospital on Tues. of this week and they took x-rays and found that he had some trauma to his spine right above his tail. Then they told me that he was constipated pretty bad and that I was to bring him back in the following day to get IV's to prepare for sedation and an enema to clean him out. After he was dropped off, they called me at work saying that he had been breathing through his mouth a lot, coughing, and that they had heard a heart murmur when doing an exam. by then, I had already racked up a pretty heavy bill and they wanted me to do all these extreme tests to check his heart including an MRI at another facility before they could help him further. Then this nurse told me if i didn't do the tests, he could die at any time without warning!!! WTF! HELP!!!!!!!

I recently took in a yr old cat that had been abused. Someone kicked its front teeth out! Does anyone know if cats can eat very well without them? Should I just feed her wet food?

He is 6 years old and I’ve had him since he was a baby. I love him to pieces!!!

His appearance:
eyes are sort of yellowy,
long champagne colored fur,
long tuffs of fur between his toes,
weighs 13.5 pounds but is solid not fat.

His personality:
he talks a lot,
loves to lick our fingers,
likes to sleep on me and cuddle,
a complete sweetie!

Any ideas on his breed or is he a domestic Heinz 57?
Check out the side show. (not very long)

I just found out my cat has FIV and I was wondering how it happened? I have had her for around 10 years and shes around 11 years old now. She is deaf and was adopted and has been an inside cat for most of her life but more of an outside cat now. Im just wondering if its my fault she has FIV? She was healthy when I adopted her.

I adopted a cat about a month ago. It was a stray, so I understand why it acts like each meal may be its last...but this cat eats everything in sight! It eats our dogs food, anything left out, ripped into our halloween candy...I can't even cook in our crockpot unless I block it off..the cat will dig into that too!! My vet said to be careful with overfeeding, but this cat will go crazy when I get his food...and then he gets into everything else anyway. I'm just worried he will eat something that will hurt him. How can I correct this? Should I just lock him in a room when we're gone? We don't have food out all the time, but with the holidays coming we have more around, and I can't keep everything locked up. how can I quiet his appetite? He will eat until he vomits...I know he doesn't have worms or anything like that..just an overactive appetite...any suggestions???

it started out as me,sickly. respiratory stuff. I thought it was the cronic...
but it got worse. Much worse , on that rainy tuesday.

one my kittens got sickly ..snuffly ..sneezy on Saturday, and by
Monday it had spead in varying degrees to all my kittens (5) . I brought the Original sickly one in to the vet and he sez "cold" or resp infection, and gave me Zithromax (Cherry flavored -WTF?-but that's besides the point.)to give to them. that was a couple days ago , and there is still no improvement. they are congested and you can hear the fluid in there , even tho the vet says the lungs are clear.

starting last night my older cats began comong down with it. and by this morning , my poor thomas ia Wheezy/snuffling as bad as the kittens do.

Could it be Mold. we were drying birdhouse gourds inside.
I put them out in the shed, and i hope that's it, but i'm still worried.

we also had brought in a hollow stump for he kitts to play in? it had dead poison ivy on it...

I am in process of adopting a Kitten from the animal shelter. When I first went it was too young. As I wait, the kitten became sick (diarria) and the shleter informed me that it will be a bit longer until the kitten gets better. I am not sure the shelter tested for anything at this point. Are there any tests that I should have done before accepting the kitten?

I have a cat (fixed) and a kitten (very unfixed) and the kitten is on heat for the first time! I have never had to deal with this before as all of my previous cats have been fixed at the earliest opportunity.

She is crying yowling, and writhing seductively on the floor when I walk in the room. Is there anything I can do for her?
