You shouldn't want a white tiger. While they may be beautiful only one in about 3 litters is born looking normal. The rest are deformed. White tigers ARE NOT NATURAL. The only way to breed them is through incestuous breeding so that the cubs get genes from both parents to ensure the same defect and the ones that don't come out pretty are killed. White tigers are like all albinos. Also, they don't live very long and are very sickly despite what they show on tv. Tigers are my favorite animal and I hate what people are doing to them. This subject is a very personal one for me and I'm saddened that you would want a white tiger. Also, I know what I'm talking about because I did a report on White tigers in my last science class before I graduated. Some of the things I read almost made me cry. Anyway, a tiger is also I very big responsibility so if you decide to do this anyway please look into the subject a little more. If you want to know more about the truth of white tigers search youtube. There's plenty of videos posted by animal right activists that will tell you what you should know

Basically, they're Bengal tigers - the white colouring is a mutation. It occured spontaneously in a tiger in the wild, and people seized upon it to breed from and so propagate the pretty colouring. As a result, white tigers only exist in zoos and due to the necessity to inbreed to keep the line going there are many deformed white tigers out there.

I did a presentation at uni on conservation, and found this image when discussing white tigers. Take a look if you can stomach it, the tiger looks like a bulldog or something. Guaranteed to get a reaction in your audience!:
