He is 6 years old and I’ve had him since he was a baby. I love him to pieces!!!
His appearance:
eyes are sort of yellowy,
long champagne colored fur,
long tuffs of fur between his toes,
weighs 13.5 pounds but is solid not fat.
His personality:
he talks a lot,
loves to lick our fingers,
likes to sleep on me and cuddle,
a complete sweetie!
Any ideas on his breed or is he a domestic Heinz 57?
Check out the side show. (not very long)

Kumasi46 - His undercoat is the same color that you see on top. I like your answer though!

Sillyme22 - I think you might of found it for me. Hard to tell for sure because I know he wouldn’t be pure, but he sure does fit the descriptions! I thought it was cute when they said they are like lap dogs because he is totally like that! Greats me at the door and follows me around. When I opened the link you gave me, I was surprised! That looked like my baby just different coloring.

Those that said he might be a Maine **** might be right too. I looked it up and that fits him as well. Thanks for your answers, this is interesting! I’m just curious, I have never looked into what he might be, but what really matters is that he is sooooo loveable!

The best bet is to go to the Humane Society or similar rescue-type sites. The reason is that the cats pictured in those links are just domestic short or longhair cats...essentially, mixbreeds of unknown origin. The blue coloration is genetic and not breed specific. Lots of breeds come in that 'Russian Blue' color---but only the Russian Blue has a specific body type that coincides with it. The 'tuxedo' is also a matter of coat color genetics---and there's no breed with specific tuxedo markings (that I'm aware of). The cat in the first photo is also a polydactyl, or Hemmingway cat. They have extra toes. It's genetic, but not breed-specific. Rather, it's a fault when it comes to specific breeds and showing. Hope that helps.

Your little guy is cute, but the chances of his being any "breed" are slim. Fewer than 1% of all cats are "pedigreed" (all cats are purebred, except those that are hybridized with wild cats, like the Bengal and the Savannah). His color is usually described a cream, or maybe cream cameo if he has a bright white undercoat. I would describe him as a domestic longhair. Remember, though, since the idea of pedigreed cats is only about 140 years old, and pedigreed just means that their ancestry is registered with some recognized registering body, like CFA (the cat fancier's association), yur cat's family might be the raw material for a new breed. A breed is just a variety that was puposefully enhance from a regionally-occurring variety, or a purposeful hybrid between two existing breeds (for example, the Himalayan was created from the Siamese and the Persian)

He is gorgeous! He is a domestic long hair, but resembles a Maine **** although that doesn't necessarily mean he is of that breed.
He is lovable anyway, right? :)

He's just a big fluffy ginger cat, like Garfield or Morris. I love ginger cats.

Doesn't matter if he/she is a breed or not. Sounds like you love your cat and that is what matters. :-)
This cat has you as his or her human! You seem happy together!
Good luck!

Thanks for sharing your pics, very nice cat! I think he's domestic. Orange males usually have a great temperament. I had one for almost 17 yrs.
