The clear winner in my house to date is:

He has lost all his hair and has not growned back yet. He has no runny nose or eyes. No open wounds. I have changed his food and all his bedding has been wash and I still see no improvement. Other than that he eats all his food dry & wet, he also tries to eat everyone else too. Friskies. He loves to play in the dirt and chase lizards, so his playfulness has not changed. I have three other cats, they don't fight. The other three are all normal, they all eat the same food.

I have a 9/10 month old cat who has recently developed an annoying habit that is driving me crazy. He is constantly scraping the windows and walls and making that noise like fingernails on a chalkboard. Worse: He does it while I'm trying to sleep at night. He obviously knows it gets my attention, because he'll do it and look right at me...and then when say "no" or shoo him away from the wall or window...he will just run away and do it again. Squirting him with water doesn't work, because he will run away before I get a chance to squirt him and then he'll be right back at the wall/window. I've tried putting him outside my bedroom at night, but then he just scrapes the door and cries. I'm at my wit's end. I haven't had a good night's sleep in a month. He has plenty of scratching posts around the house, and honestly, he's not doing it to sharpen his nails, he's doing it because of the noise and to get my attention. Help??? Advice????

We will take a long, transatlantic flight from Europe to the USA so metal detectors are an issue. The cats will be on board: one is more nervous than the other. We have read about "Feliway" and "Rescue Remedy" as good, natural calming remedies. We plan to start getting the cats used to getting in the carrier and going for short drives in the car as they will have to go to the airport. Any tips or advice are appreciated! BFG

my cat is weird. She eats steak, chilli, ramen noodles, apple cider, and quite a bit of other stuff. What weird things does your cat eat? what are cats absolutely not supposed to have?

I am about to get a new kitten, and am worried about any problems, as the last kitten I had passed away, due to back background, he'd also had fleas which led to anemia. I am worried about the same thing happening again, does anyone have a checklist of things to look for? Many thanks for your help :o)

My cat is around 4 years old, male, neutered, and very wild. He hates to be inside except to eat and sleep. We used to keep a window open for him so he could come-and-go as he pleased, but we have to keep him in at night now because he wakes people up by fighting with other cats. When he is outside, he is usually in the neighbours yard, instigating fights with they're male cat; and when their cat is inside, they both sit on opposite sides of the window and growl at eachother. My boyfriend wants to give our kitty away because he is just tired of dealing with him. We've tired physically removing him from the other yard and bringing him inside, spraying him with water, etc. But he just doesn't seem to learn not to do it. Any suggestions? I really don't want to have to get rid of my cat..

My cat was in my room sleeping for a while, then she started banging on the door like she normally does when she wants let out. She came running out of my room, came downstairs, and acted like she could barely walk. My mom put ran her over to the litter box thinking she just had to go really bad. Then my cat threw up. Why would she do this? She seems better now, and is walking normally. She hasn't thrown up any more. What is wrong with her?

I was out on friday night. When I came back I found that my cat lost a claw nail (with root), and some of the other claws don't look good. The other cat doesn't have any marks on it to show it was a fight. I'm scared and upset. I'm taking it to the vet. Will the vet be able to see if it's been hurt, why the claw came out (bleeding has stopped), and any be able to tell me of any other hurt he may be suffering? :(

I have a storage area out back with a shingled roof on it. It is constantly being covered with cat poop. These are just neighborhood cats roaming free at night. I have seen a raccoon and possum around so they may be contributing. How do I keep them off this roof. The smell becomes pretty bad obviously. I was thinking barb wire or something like that. Any ideas??

I recently acquired a new kitten approximately 2 months ago. Over the past month my old kitty (about 6 yrs) began urinating and defecting all over the house. I've had to isolate him to one room when I'm not home, and he continues to defecate all over that room as well. I know the new kitty is probably the issue, but does anyone know how I can get him to stop?!?!?

She is about 8 years old, spayed, has been living as an indoor cat for a year after being indoor/outdoor for most of her life. Eats dry food, uses a litter box. Overweight from the lack of indoor exercise. We were thinking (and hoping against) a UTI, wanted to know if there were any other, more home-treatable possibilities.
