I'd like to buy my kitten some snacks to use as treats, so he has something else to eat sometimes other than his regular kitten food.
Any ideas?

well my cat sometimes likes to chew on her tail
the very end of it
we checked and there is not cut or anything
this has been happening for almost a 2 years now
she will sit there and lick it and then walk around like its normal
any thoughts on why she does this?
could the fact she is not fixed have any effect?
she is about 3 years old.

I have adopted a new cat. She is a rather small-framed female who is shy. The people I adopted her from found her in a tree and have kept her in their garage for the last couple of months. I just got her today. She is presently sitting in my living room in a very large cage with her own kitty litter, a blanket, her toys, and some cat food and water.

I would like to make her an indoor cat, but I am worried about overcoming her shyness. I have an adult male cat (he is about 11 years old) and an adult female cat (about 3 years old). They are both very healthy, fixed cats. My male cat seems to be very receptive to the new addition, but my female is having a fit (circling the cage, hissing, giving the new cat looks of death).

Any ideas on what I can do to encourage the new cat to open up, and how to get the other cats to be more accepting of her? I have her situated in the middle of the busiest area in the house, because I heard that was the best place.

Does anyone know of any home treatments for a cat with an upper respiratory infection. I know I need to take her to a Vet but I don't know when I'll be able to get her in. Is there anything I can do to help her until then?

I have a little problem with my cat. She uses her litter box to do her busines, but once my husband came home from a deployment, she peeied on one of the living room chair. Is she stressed out by his presence even though she acts like she loves him (sleeps by his side, rubs agains his leg etc.). Is she trying to be the dominant female in the house? What can I use to get the smell out and what is the best cleaner to use to get cat urine out of cushy chairs?

My cat recently had a health scare that required abdominal surgery to remove an obstruction. While they were diagnosing him, they found his blood glucose was 175. The vet is not too concerned. He drinks a lot, and he was on steroids for about a year and a half, but hasn't taken them for almost two years--but she says the levels are not that high to be concerned. Any input? I'd hate to think he went through all that surgery only to find out he's diabetic--and I don't really have the $$$$ to test him now.

My biggest question, and the one that voids all of the others, is: Are munchkin cats in the same ball park as teacup whatever dogs? I've done some research, not at all extensive, but it seems to be nothing more than a simple mutation likened to people having green eyes or what made weanertype dogs the way they are.

And then: Where could I get one? I would have no issue trying shelters, but I am more than possitive that not one person in this area knows that cats have breeds beyong fluffy and standard.

And last but so far from least: How expensive? By the time I'm ready to adopt one, money shouldn't be an issue, but I'd like to have it saved up by then.

Much thanks.

He was bitten by a stray cat, he is vaccinated but he seems to be in a stupor, the vet was here and gave him necessary meds and cleaned the area. But he is so ill and lifeless. What should I feed him, he keeps clawing and biting at things out of sheer pain. There is pus coming out of the area. I am so terrified, please help my cat. He is 14 years old and very skinny and weak.
