Please call the Vet back.
If there is pus coming out of the wound that means it's infected.
It may take a few days for the meds the Vet gave him to kick in, but an infection is nothing to mess around with and he needs to be seen by the Vet again.
If the cat is in that much pain I'm very suprised the Vet didn't give you pain meds for the cat.
Frankly from what I've read in your question I'd be looking for a new Vet NOW.
As for what to feed him, he may not want to drink water but try Pedilyte give him a few cc's of that several times a day....to do that you'll need a NEW eye dropper or syringe...you can usually got those at any pet store or even a feed mill of a "Tracter Supply" store if there's one in your area.
Also even though "people" food isn't that good for cats you may want to try and offer him tuna...most cats will eat that.
Put a warm cloth over the wound to try and draw out the infection.
Most importantly, please call the Vet back and tell him what you told us, if he blows you off call another Vet.
Also keep him indoors at this time and consider makeing him an indoor cat from now on...there is to much danger outside for cats.
Good luck, I hope your cat makes a full recovery.

I think the cat needs to return to the vet, and if the usual vet will do no more, I would take the cat in for a second opinion. The pus indicates there is an infection and perhaps the infection has spread to other areas of the body and that is why the cat is weak. It may be necessary for the cat to have an IV of antibiotics. Because your cat is older it could take longer for him to heal and make him more fragile. I really hope you are able to help your kitty get better with the help of a reliable vet. Good luck.

vaccinations do not protect your cat 100%
if he is really bad off you could take him to the vets so they can keep him under observation. If you can catch the stray it should go to the vets as well - or turn it to the pound or whomever deals with strays in your area (ask the vet)
how long ago was he bitten?
feed him small amounts of canned food - mush - with warm water added - (small amount = 1 teaspoon) do this 3 times a day to help him get healthier and stronger.
feed him his regular dry food too....

Since I just got a cat and like 20 books on cats, it says that water is essential so it does not get dehydrated, make sure it drinks alot. Maybe keep in close eye for the day and that water is close. Maybe you should feed it out of a bottle. Try to give it crushed vitamins (for cats) in the food. I'm sure that you know alot since it is 14, but if it is really thhat skinny, it's body will need all the nutrients it can get. I hope it helps!!!

Keep him in a warm quiet place... I think your cat has been traumatized by the stray cat. If the doc has been to see him and treated the bite wound, then I think your kitty will be fine as long as he does not get stressed. So, keep him quiet... don't allow "visitors" but you go and sit quietly in the room with him and talk soothingly to him. Tempt him with some wet canned and smelly cat food - tuna flavor or even flaked tuna in water tempts most cats to eat. Keep him hydrated and this is where wet canned food works best in recuperating cats. Finally, tell him how much you love him and want him to get better. Give the will do live.

It's possible that the area is infected and causing him to become weak. Take a warm cloth to the infected area and apply a little pressure, this will help drain out the infection. It might also be an idea to take him back to your vet, he may require IV fluids and/or more medication.

CALL YOUR VET NOW!!! Your cat may be having a reaction to the shots the vet gave him. Do NOT worry about feeding this cat right now---worry about saving his LIFE! The cat will eat when he is wee enough to.

Oh yes! All the time lol, it makes me jump up with fright and say sorry (cats name) and then I realise it is just one of the cats rubber balls that I am stepping on. It is so funny when that happens! lol

take him to the vet again... or if they did everything, just give it a few days, whatever they gave him to help isnt going to cure instantly. if you think he is in tons of pain, than take him to the vet, maybe he will have to stay overnight.
