My cat (which I have never had spayed or inoculated) slept for three days straight, and then when he woke up, his eyes were puffy and red, and he was coughing, and stringy things like angel hair pasta were coming out of his butt, and then forty gallons of smelly purplish-brown goo came squirting out of his ears, and then his belly split open and candy came out and then his head fell off. Now he doesn't eat as much as he used to, and is peeing in the bathroom sink instead of his litterbox. What should I do? Is there some kind of home remedy I can try?

What is the matter with these people?

Everyone says you should have 2 cats to keep each other company. I've always had cats(all have lived to be 20+) but have always had only 1 cat at a time. I give my kitties a lot of attention & they've always seemed happy. I've also heard that if you have multiple cats that they're not as affectionate to their owner because they have each other. What do you think?

THe last 3 nights, he'll act like he wants to be pet, then lash out. He used to be an outdoor cat for most of his life, and has been forced to stay inside now for the last 2 mos., and it's driving him crazy. Also he's been drinking a lot, has gas, laid in his litterbox, and i've noticed a decrease in appetite, acts like he doesn't feel good. Is it behavioral or medical? Should I wait and see how he does before giving his vet MORE money?

Hello! I'm not asking anything dire, this is all just sheer curiosity for the sake of getting to know my cats better. First of all: when I pet my female cat right in front of her tail on her back, she'll perk up and pull a "halloween cat" stance. She seems to intensely enjoy it. What's this all about? Note she's been fixed, and my male kitten will do it ON OCCASSION. Another question is about a cat's memory... can my cat see me and know it's me? I know it seems a bit silly, but sometimes when I havent seen my cat in a month and have new hair, clothes, etc... i wonder if she knows its me. Thanks for the help!

My 5 month kitten just ate a brown stinkbug about the size of a quarter. I cleaned out her mouth and all, but can I expect this to make her stomach upset?

We have another cat and they get along fine and are even starting to play. Our new cat is very sweet and lovable. The meowing during the day is no big deal (a little unnerving) but at night she roams the house and meows almost constantly. I keep telling myself she will stop meowing all night when she gets used to her new home (she was in a shelter for 2 years). We bought night lights.

My cat doesn't tip or move the water bowl. He paws the water out onto the floor. I have tried tall bowl, towels around the water bowl. I even tried a heavy weighted water bowl that just made a bigger mess. I do have a mat underneath, but it's just not enough. Pleae help save my hard wood floors.

My cat was born a feral and landed in my backyard. I started feeding it when it was maybe 3 months old but it wouldn't go near me.
When it was 12 months old it gave birth to kittens. She brought them into the house after 2 weeks. I kept them in the fount room and the cat got to know and trust me and now it is all over me like a rash. It plays and purrs and does all that sissy cat stuff.
However, when people come to visit it just disappears and won't surface till long after they have left.
Is this normal?

him to have any. Anyways, he sleeps in our bed and lays with us on the couch. I'm really paranoid now because I assume the fleas are probably on our bed and oh my new furniture. I did notice bites on my legs a few times in the morning. How do I get rid of these fleas? I've started him on the frontline but what about my bed and the carpet and the couch and stuff? How do I get them off there? Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks.

My brother has a cat and doesn't know what type it is. He's very regal, and got a head that's shaped kind of like a Blue Russian's. But he's black and gray - but not like a tabby. They're grey outlined circles with black in the middle, large circles, too. Mostly black, though. Maybe if anyone can find a picture of a cat that looks like this...? I've seen one like it maybe once before. And he doesn't look to be a mixed breed. Not sure though.
