My cat needs Prozac. I wish I could leave my door open, but my cat will climb and play half the night. My cat always has fresh water/food. Help....He is driving me nuts and I don't want to have to lock him in a downstairs bathroom all night.

Now she's adopted a stuffed animal the smae size and color (very little and pure white) like her baby. She carried her new baby around everywhere and cries when she's carrying it to me or her daddy (a human named Greg). I think she's gone through some trama after baby died since she thinks this toy is the now the baby. She even tries to nurse the baby by holding it agaisnt her stoamch. She still leaks occasionally but only when I squezze the nipples to check. She's been spayed a few weeks ago but she still nurses and leaks.
I guess the question is: will she grow out of the baby trama she's in, if it's trama at all?
She acts like a normal cat but she just carries her toy around.

Okay here goes I have 2 dogs and 4 cats all fixed of course. I asked this same question on another site and all I got was rude and mean answers. We are moving and I would like some opinions on how to transport animals and how to make them comfy? Also--my male cat always gets outside I know that is dangerous to let a cat outside but trust me I did everything (squirt bottle, bodyguard at the door lol and he even scratched out the screen to get out) so anyway I let him out well now during the day he used the litter box but at night he either pees on my son's bed or my daughter's bed. If I let him out at night he is fine--I feel bad putting him out at night because I am not around every minute to let him back in like I am during the day. Any suggestions???? This is my son's favorite cat???

I have a 7-year old male tabby who's been obsessed with going out the front door of every apt I've lived in. He's always been an indoor cat but will sit at the front door and meow at the top of his lungs. When he's not meowing, he's clawing the carpet & has dug a whole in the carpet by the front door of my last three apts. I've tried spraying repellent I bought at my local pet store which is supposed to deter cats and dogs from scratching & biting but it only works for a few minutes and then he's back to work. I try to play with him as much as I can when I get home. I do have another cat but she's 16 years old and has no interest in playing with him. I'd love to get another cat for him to play with because he LOVES to play but I live in a small apt and 3 cats seems a bit much. Any suggestions?

My cat has been like this for over 2 years - at times it is worse than others. He repeatedly licks his fur, as if aggitated by something, to an extreme that he makes himself totally bald. This is only around the rear part of his body and at the base of his tail. I have taken him to different vets, but none of which have cured his condition. Does anyone else have a similar problem with their cat and do you know a cure?

I have an 8 yr old male, fixed Himlayan cat. He has always been aloof, like alot of cats, and only wanted attention or affection on his own terms. Recently he has done a complete turn around and will seek me out in the house and get on my lap no matter where I am. He sleeps up near my neck/head every night now too. I am loving the change in him (his nickname for 8 yrs has been oscar-as in grouch) but I'm concerned it could be health related and maybe he isnt feeling well and wants to be near 'mom'. It's seriously as though he is a completely different cat. (And no, there is no way it's a different cat)

Other than rabies which is a given. What shots are really important for an inside cat that never has (and never will) go outside?

Thanks.

I adopted a cat and I'm finding that I'm terribly allergic to it. Before returning the cat I wanted to see if there were any options. Maybe some sort of powder to put on the cat, a brush that works better to take off excess hair than what I have. Anything. It's a really nice cat and I'd love to keep it. I'm hoping there is something out there that I am unaware of. Please help!

My 4 yr old cat has suddenly developed an allergy to plastic (or more specifically, the chemicals used to treat metal and plastic). She is so allergic, that when she touches plastic or treated metal, she develops these very itchy spots on her skin that she chews at until all the hair is gone from that spot and she is raw and bloody. I have changed all of her water and food bowls over to glass, but have yet to find any glass or ceramic litter boxes that are available. Does anyone know where I might find a glass or ceramic litter box and how much they might cost? Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated too...thanks!!

I've heard it's very effective.
Wouldn't use it myself, but it seems like a more friendly way of keeping the little blighters off.

I love cats!

Hello,

We have a 15 year old male cat (Figaro) that has arthritus among other health issues. We also have a four year old female (Wendy) that bullys him. Wendy stalks Figaro and tries to knock him over at every possible opportunity (even him coming out of the box). We have tried loud "no" as well as spray bottles to no avail. Her being so rough is hard on him and he is too nice of a guy (and isn't physically able) to defend himself. We try to put her out when the weather permits to burn of energy, but this time of year, it is difficult (ideally, I would like her in all the time for her protection). I would appreciate some ideas on the best way to protect him or train her to not bully him.

Thank you!

Today both of my 6 month old female kittens (who happen to be sisters) are going to be spayed. I was wondering what would be the best way to make them feel better when they come home.

I'm thinkning of buying a cat and would like a few opinions as everyone has a different view!

Firstly, is it mean to put the cat ourside when i leave for work at 8.00am to let it in for the night when i get back at 5.00pm??I live in a ground floor flat so i cant have a cat flap and i'm not sure if there is such a thing for a window?

Also, if i left the cat indoors for that amount of time, will it trash my flat?

She is spayed and 16 years old. She has never done this before & it is driving us out of our minds. She has a full dish of food, water & a clean litter box. She is slowing way down and seems to have arthritis, doesn't even go up stairs any longer. Any suggestions?

AM I????

There's this cat that comes into my home while I'm sleeping, and eats my cats food. I don't really care, maybe its hungry, but its a problem when I go away for a weekend and the other cat eats my cats food. Normally the food I give him will last a whole weekend, but since the other cat has been interfering, it doesn't last the night! What do I do? I can't close the window because my cat uses the sand outside to do his thing.

I have never felt so bad in my life, this morning i dropped my daughter at school drove down the road and a cat went under my car i didnt see it coming,i jumped out and looked for it i found it in a garden dead i could not stop crying.I knocked on every door but no one knew who it belonged to.I took it to the vets there was no way i was going to leave it,the good thing is that the cat was chipped so they can let the owners know. But i feel so so bad i love cats i have one myself.Do i just forget about it or should i call the vets to see if they got hold of the owners and get their address to go round and say sorry i dont know what to do i cant get it out of my head.

Hi,
I brought 2 Burmilla Kittens at 10 weeks old just days before christmas. I noticed that one of them started sneezing a day after we got them. They now both sneeze. We took them to the vet and he isnt really sure why, he said it could be a mild cat flu and to wait it out for a week for it to stop but its been over a week since and there still sneezing. What is it ?? is it a lung infection ? is it cat flu ?? when we got them the breeder said that they havent been vacinated. Other then the sneezing they appear to be generally happy, eating, drinking, play fighting with eachother. I am going to the vets this afternoon but if anyone would like to comment on this I would be grateful.

Kind regards
Emma
