Now she's adopted a stuffed animal the smae size and color (very little and pure white) like her baby. She carried her new baby around everywhere and cries when she's carrying it to me or her daddy (a human named Greg). I think she's gone through some trama after baby died since she thinks this toy is the now the baby. She even tries to nurse the baby by holding it agaisnt her stoamch. She still leaks occasionally but only when I squezze the nipples to check. She's been spayed a few weeks ago but she still nurses and leaks.
I guess the question is: will she grow out of the baby trama she's in, if it's trama at all?
She acts like a normal cat but she just carries her toy around.

it's absolutly adorable but still sad when she carries her baby; the toy is actually a bear and it was a Christmas orniment (sp) she tore off the tree. We call it her "BearBear" -the toy's name. She really loves the toy.

we already had another kitten when her baby, Miracle, was born. But the kitten was like 3 months by then, now she's 6.

Sushi bathes and plays with Mulan all the time, like a mom to child, but she still has her BearBear.

That's very sad. Sometimes animals will "adopt" something to replace a missing offspring. It's not uncommon, and she should eventually stop. My concern is that it's been quite a while, and it sounds as if she is still pretty attached to the animal. You could look into adopting a kitten; talk to your vet before you do anything, though. My sympathies.

I wouldn't worry about her and her toy. She is grieving and like a human it will take a while for her to get over her loss. Just show her lots of love and attention and don't let her carrying the toy around distress you. She will come out of it eventually.

I honestly have had my cat on account that i become 9 years previous and become extremely unhappy after I left him behind with my father and mom after I were given married and moved out a three hundred and sixty 5 days in the past, i presumed it would want to be more effective useful for him to stay in him conventional ecosystem and on account that he's beginning to flow blind/deaf i presumed it would want to be suitable for him to stay. I visit him oftentimes, yet nonetheless missed going homestead to a cat and having one round to cuddle. My husband offered me a kitten some months in the past, nicely I cant even describe the exhilaration this little boy has delivered to my life! in spite of the undeniable fact that no it really is hassle-free to replace my previous kitty, the love i think for this little kitty is overwhelming each so often. His personality is carefully diverse to my different cat, he's what i pick to call a "water cat" who absolutley loves water. Seeing the ameliorations of their personalities is extremely alluring! i wager what im attempting to assert is your previous kitty probable had the most amazingly, loving homestead with you! He had a stay at homestead mom who gave him a good number of love and interest! What more effective might want to he have requested for! Your had a staggering life. You sound like a staggering being concerned human being, so what a pity in case you didnt use your being concerned nature to advance yet another kitten/cat who needs a house? supply your self time to grieve, you'll choose it, yet dont underestimate the exhilaration a sparkling toddler will herald your life! it really is basically no longer a alternative, as no 2 cats are ever alike, your new cat will probable have the option personality on your previous. you will advance to love and cherish the recent little addition a lot you wont believe it. Honour your previous kitties memory, why no longer do a scrapbook, or wall dedicated to his memory. Who cares if some human beings imagine its loopy, its a unique theory and a good number of human beings have carried out this. i desire your discomfort eases with time. God bless you!

Sounds like thats her comfort toy. Leave her be, I'm sure in time she'll be fine. It's just her favorite toy, so, let her keep Bearbear.
