separate their eating places--one is keeping the other from eating. add wet food 3 times-5 times every day until they are 1 year of age. ifeed my kjitten 3-3oz cands of wet food every day along with the dry which is always available.
ragdolls are the heaviest of the domestic cat breeds--up there with maine coons--feed the kittens. feed them separately. let them grow big and healthy.do not make them have to share or fight each other for food.
one will always be dominant, but they should both be of similar size and weight. also separate their litter boxes and let them play together. give the skinny weak one extra loving and attention for a while so kitty eill get sterong. watch kitty for signs of illness--does kitty look alert--playful--is kitty drinking his water well? allow him to have his own water source, also.
good luck with the skinny baby--make sure he does not have any parasites or problems-----keep feeding him and he should be ok.
good luck and have a good new year with your special babies.

take to the vet

Ragdolls are expensive and beautiful cats (I have a Birman which is simular to Ragdolls - no papers though).

What kind of food? Maybe the baby needs something more nuterious (sp) and healthy; maybe wet or can food? Just change te food around a bit and see if he gets more energy and after a few weeks and nothing's changed, take to a vet.

Also give a lot of loving. Try to keep the healthy one away from the sick one. Don't want the healthy one to harm the sick one by mistake.

Put them on kitten food, not cat food. Put a little bit of can food in with it. Seperate bowls, opposite sides of the room, and different colored bowls. That will cancel most chances of being confused, or creating conflict. Kitten food is better for them right now, because technically, they still are babies. It will be better for them, and give them what they need to play and gain weight.

If she walks around fine, and cleans herself, and eats fine, I wouldn't worry about it. I had a female cat like that. She was the fat one of the litter, but then as she got older, she didn't really get much bigger, and she didn't like to play as often as the others. She was healthy, and perfectly fine, but she learned that playing meant getting pinned down, attacked by at least 2 others, and being chewed on.

If this continues on for to long, or she seems like she's getting thinner, take her to the vet. Otherwise, I wouldn't put to much worry into it.

Tiki Cat Premium Wild Caught Seafood specializes in cats that are not eating properly, loss of weight and loss of appetite. It doesn't take very long for a cat's health to go down hill and weight loss is a big warning sign. I don't know where you are at but see if there is a store that is near you on the website and test out feeding this product to see if you can get your kittens weight and energy back to normal. We have had cats with severe loss of appetite that were placed on feeding tubes that started eating on their own again and returning to normal activity.

Make sure that both are fed equal amounts. One may be taking more than the other. Take the kitten to the vets as it may have picked up an infection and could pass this on the the other kitten.

Yes, I would definitely let the little one eat first (shut other one away temporarily). Our male kitten used to snap his food down then start on the female's we discovered. also, I have heard that only giving them dry food can lead to kidney probs later in life so perhaps a mix?

Is he eating alright? Or is the stronger one eating all his food? You should make sure he's getting enough to eat. If he is, contact your vet, to make sure everything's ok.
