Don't worry. If you get rid of the fleas now, you probably won't have a chance of infestation. Good choice for starting him on Frontline! I do NOT recommend flea bombing your home. It releases vapors that stun and kill pesky fleas, but may be toxic to your cat. Yes, even indoor cats can catch fleas. You might have visited someone who owns a cat, and transported the parasites back home on you. If this problem persists, talk to your vet about ways to control fleas. You are a wise pet parent!

Fleas are such pests!! There is Raid spray specifically for fleas. We had this same problem. You just spray a liight spray of the raid on your carpet, furniture, etc. The frontline will start working on your cat immediately. On the carpet and furniture the frontline will keep the fleas from having babies and will stop the eggs from hatching. You'll still have the adult fleas for a while until they die though which is a coupl of weeks (but they won't be able to reproduce). Wash your linens.
Our girl is an indoor cat, too. She has never been outside other than to go to the groomers or the vet. The vet said that she probably got fleas from sitting by the open window or we could have even brought them in from our shoes. It doesn't mean you have a dirty home or anything.
You need to just make sure that you give your cat his flea meds every month to help prevent flea infestation in the future. Good Luck!

Sometimes fleas will hitch rides on our clothes when we are outside and then we unknowingly bring them in. And once they're in, it's a process to get them out! First of all, the Frontline will help, but you might want to consider giving your cat a bath with Adam's Flea and Tick Shampoo about once a week. He will hate it, but it's for the best. Adam's also makes a house spray that is awesome. Just spray it around the baseboards. Change your sheets at least every week, or even every 3 or 4 days and wash everything that the cat may have been on, like blankets, pillows, etc. It will probably take you about a week and a half or so to get rid of them, but it wil be worth it when you do! Good luck!
By the way, you can get the Adam's products at Wal-Mart.

Do you have a small pet store in your area, where you can get good personalized service from someone who knows what they are talking about? You know, the type of store that carries expensive natural foods?
Go there and ask the owner what product to use. Or, ask your vet.
A petsitter brought fleas into my home once. I used a non-toxic spray made from chrysanthumum oil to spray the furniture and carpets. Vacuum daily for a few days (to get any eggs) and throw out the vacuum bags. Wash all of your bedding in HOT water. You can spray the mattress but you probably don't need to. Carpets are generally the worst offenders.
There are flea bombs and things you can buy, but many are not good for your pet and especially not for children. That's why you should be careful which product you choose while at the pet store.

Someone may have brought a flea or fleas into the house on their shoes, socks or pant legs from walking through grass.
You're going to have to take the cat to the groomer and have him dipped. After you drop him off and while he's gone you'll need to bomb the whole house for fleas. Either call an exterminator or use a bomb that kills eggs, too. You'll have to get out of the house all day. Make sure to read the directions regarding when to vacuum.

The front-line will help, any flea that touches your cat will die. You can also get flea sprays for your bedding and furniture at most all pet stores. Just make sure it is for bedding and furniture.

You can always bomb (spray) your house , but you haveeee to take all animals out of the house for a while like 8 hours or so, and cover things up that you dont want to get sprayed. You can get these at the store , Raid bombs for fleas are good to use. Just read on the can and itll tell you what to do..good luck

I would go get flea killer at your pet store or Walmart, and just put it everywhere you can. Wash all fabrics that came in to contact and vaccuum really well.
