Today is does not want to be held, he meows very aggressivly when you try to touch him but especially when you try to pick him up.

It sounds like he's in pain. Please take him to a vet ASAP.

The cat may not be feeling well today but he may be better tomorrow. He may be telling you that it hurts when you pick him up.
If he's still a young cat, he may be telling you that he doesn't want to be picked up. If this happens again tomorrow I would take him to the vet. Then you'll know if he's sick or just in a bad mood.

How old is this cat, and how long have you had him? If he normally likes being held, he might just be in a bad mood. Give him some space for a while. If his mood doen't improve, there's a chance he might he ill, but that's probably not the case.

That is usually a good sign that your cat is in pain and needs help. Please take him to the vet.
