I need some help getting rid of the smell. I have her on Iams and this has never happened before. The smell is awful and it won't go away. I need some tips on deodorizing her.

My cats have become very comfortable spending time on the tables and countertops while I'm out of the house. When I'm home, I have to constantly shoo them off. Any ideas how to effectively train them to stay off once and for all?

I have a 5 mo. old male and a 4 mo. female. The male has been kinda down lately. He eats, drinks, and has no problems with his litter box, but he has not been very playful. He used to race around and love to attack things and now he does not. I just got the female kitty about a week and a half ago. She has had a cold, is on medication, and is really improving. The male has just recently began to sneeze, so I will be picking up medication today from the vet to treat him. Could his drop in activity be because he is getting a cold? Also, how can you tell if a cat has a fever besides using a thermometer? Thanks!!!

It has been professionally cleaned. She goes to the bedroom of an owner (who is now deceased). She goes to one corner of her room - even when not urinating - when she enters the room. I want to open up the room, but am unable to do so.

i have looked everywhere, parks, other neighborhoods i eve suspect my own family members of "dissapearing" him. i been crying for a whole week most people suggest that he might have found a girlfriend and will return because cats "do that" i personally doubt it because he was an indoor/outdoor cat free to come and go but ost definetly never spent the night outside he would scratch my window to be let in... he's 8 months old. Is it possible for a cat to mate for weeks then come back?

He is about 10 weeks old and still weening. I came home from work last night and picked him up to pet him. I smelled something bad so I looked at his bum and noticed he had an accident. He has long fuzzy hair so some poo was stuck in it and I didn't think anything of it because he is a baby. I got a wet, warm washcloth and started gently wiping it off-which he didn't like of course. I was tempted to give him a bath but didn't want him to be cold afterward. When I got to taking a closer look, it looked like the poo was stuck in his bum still. Well, I eventually got most of it but when I took a look at his bum afterward it looked very red and very big-almost like the inner part of his bum was coming out. I didn't see any blood in his feces so I am hoping it was just sore. I am planning on taking him to the vet if it continues but what could be causing this? He is the runt of the litter and very tiny for his age. I am hoping there is nothing wrong with him.

He just wants to sleep, although he did eat & drink a little- but just doesn't want to get up & walk around yet. The vet had to give him a tranquilizer beforehand & he is on an antibiotic because he broke a couple of his nails- vet said he gave her a very hard time & was very aggitated. When will the effects of the meds wear off & be back to normal self? Thank you!

We adopted somebody about a month ago, and while he's starting to seem more comfortable here, he's still a bit odd-smelling and perhaps a bit greasy.

It doesn't seem enough to warrant a bath, if we can get him to lick himself a bit more. I think. (Never mind that neither we nor the cat look forward to the idea of a bath.)

Any advice? He's been to the vet; health fine, got neutered, recovered well. He was very prone to hiding at first, and I thought he'd groom more as he got more comfortable, but now I'm not so sure that's going to happen. He's only a year old.

My cat (Jakus Pegus Legus the Third - Jake for short) broke his leg and had it pinned with metal rods.
I was just wondering, if I stick a magent to the fridge would I be able to stick Jake to the magnet and have a 'living' fridge magnet - this would also solve the problem I have with him helping my other cat, Sir Digby Chicken Caesar, from climbing up the Christmas tree. Do you think it would work and how strong a magnet do I need? What should I use to stick the magnet securely to the fridge door?

I've read that some cat guardians feed their cats either a cooked or a raw egg now and again and that it does wonders to the cat's skin and fur. I know that egg is a great source of protein and some cat food includes them in their ingredients. My question is, if you feed raw egg (whisked or beaten), should you include the egg white or not? I just experimented and whisked a whole egg and offered it to my two cats - they each lapped a good deal of it but since they are full, left half in the bowl. So I know they like raw egg.

Just recently our cat has taken to tipping over the kitchen bin for scraps when we are out or asleep.

We weigh it down from time to time so it doesn't tip but she still tears the plastic bags that overhang to pieces trying to tip the damn thing.

We never seem to catch her at it so I don't think she gets it when we shout at her hours later and its not like we dont feed her enough either.

Anyone know a good tip to make her not want to go near the bin?

Very often, my cat will stand on my nightstand in the corner of my room and meow (more like howling and whining) like crazy. She stares up at the ceiling and there is nothing there...trust me. I start playing with her after this because I assume maybe she is bored, and then she is fine. Is my cat bored, or could it be something else?
