My dad came home a couple weeks ago from Iraq, so I took my cat into my arms and helped her get used to him, opened up my room so she had a place to sleep, I took care of her. She's used to my dad again, but follows me everywhere, I can't go to the bathroom without her Yelling outside the closed door. Is there any way to wean her onto the rest of the family so I don't have to be her constant attention?

She's the only one that gets sick from going to the vet. My two other cats never get sick when I bring them! The office is CLEAN and the vet is friendly with the animals! I said the stress does that! There's no problem with the vet!!

My cat was sick on the carpet this morning I cant wipe it up because its stuck in the deep pile what are my options
a:take up the carpet and wipe everyones memory in the house and try to convince them there never was a carpet in the first place.
use the cat to wipe it up (he has quite long fur so the vomit may just stick to it)
or say it was me and let my mum wipe the floor with me(kick my head in)coz I cannot bring meself to clean it up

I am getting married next year, and my cat has my last name now(for visits to vet, etc.) ... I'm wondering if I should change his last name when I change mine too ... I hope it wouldn't upset him ... if only he could speak for himself. I just don't want to offend him.

I'm wondering now if I should have gone through with it in the first place. I meant well making my decision- everyone says it's best for the animal. But know I'm wondering if he'll be the same? I don't want him to just lay around & sleep or feel like less of a male. I miss him running around, biting my pants leg, & coming to investigate every time the door opens- & I hope he still continues all this. Is it possible that he's just still recovering from the surgery last week, & that he just needs time to come back to it? Does neutering calm down every cat & make them lazy/ fat? I don't want my buddy to resent me- I really did have the cat's best interest in mind!

She's tiny, looks like a Korat, (grey cat with silver tipped fur) and she/he is soooo lovable! Do you have any names?

P.S. I don't know if it's a girl or a boy yet!

I have an 18 month old red birman cat. He came down with an ear infection some months ago and was treated with Canaural. He then developed a small white stringy mass in his eye which I was told was probably due to a trauma to his eye or head. This has cleared up but he then became lethargic and off his food. Since then he is fine in himself, though still lethargic and has become unsteady on his back legs. He has no trouble breathing, no change to his eyes, no distending of the stomach. He has high levels of protein in his blood and anaemia but given the lack of all other signs of FIP, I am trying to find out what else it can be. He has tested negative for FLV and FIV (which he should as his vaccinations are all up to date). I am being tortured waiting for further tests for FIP but have read that only 18% of suspected cases of FIP actually do turn out to be FIP.

Please can someone help me.

My cats wont come to me if I call them. Unless they want to. And I hate walking around going " Here puss puss " or calling their names over and over again. So I taught them to come to me when I whistle. Everyone I know thinks this is weird is it? I also had a cat when I was a teenager that responded to whistles so I thought it was normal.

I have a 4 year old cat who never goes outside and is not around other cats. I've noticed recently that at times he seems to have a horse cough. Is there something I might give him for this?

This summer, I adopted a 2.5 yr old cat from a lady. The cat has never been around other cats (since 8 weeks old). I have no plans on getting another cat at the moment, but I was wondering if maybe I should get him a companion later? Would he react badly to another cat since he's used to being on his own? He's an orange tabby, but later on, I want to get a pure black cat (I'm not a Halloween freak... I just love black cats. I would have gotten one, but I have a black cat back home... long story... and I didn't want it to seem like i was trying to replace him). Anyhoot, if you've adopted an older kitty in a similar situation yet adopted another cat, how did the cat react? Would it be safe to get a companion for Marcus later on?

I have a 4 month old kitten that plays a lot. His favorite game is to run into my kitchen, slide full force into the mini blinds and bang into the glass window. After doing this he runs the length of the window doing this gripey yakky meow over and over and over like he's yelling or fussing at something. He seems to be enjoying himself and playing. He just talks a lot. Why would one cat be more vocal than the other one I have?

Callie is an active fun loving cat who seems to be healthy in everyway, good eating, grooming, playing etc. but suddenly started drooling no pain no plants around no chemicals. But she will chew just about anything. Wonder if a 2 yr old cat could be cutting teeth or what? Going to call vet in morning.

Like I said he pukes up his cat food is this normal? He is about 2 years old. I don't know what kind of cat he is but I think it is called a tiger cat. He eats Dad's Original cat food. His puke just looks like chewed up cat food. He poops normal and he is not allowed outdoors.
