Like I said he pukes up his cat food is this normal? He is about 2 years old. I don't know what kind of cat he is but I think it is called a tiger cat. He eats Dad's Original cat food. His puke just looks like chewed up cat food. He poops normal and he is not allowed outdoors.

I would say ask your vet if he does this a lot, maybe its the food.It may not agree with his tummy.

My mom has a cat like that. Some cats have a more sensitive digestive system than others. I would suggest you take him to the vet, who can evaluate whether he has a more serious medical condition, and advise you what kind of food would be best for him. My cats throw up occasionally like that, the only reason I can figure is that they sometimes eat too fast, have some hair in their stomach they need to get rid of, or have been eating grass outside. If your kitty doesn't get sick all that often, I wouldn't really worry about it too much, just keep you eye on him and make sure he can keep some of his food down. If he is throwing up more often and has trouble keeping most or all of his food down, then he probably has something wrong that needs to be dealt with by a professional vet.

Good luck, I hope your kitty feels better soon!

I recently had the same exact problem with 1 of my kittens (8 months old). I had changed his food about 1 month prior to the vomitting even beginning so I made no connection to that. The vet said nothing was wrong with him & he was still gaining weight & acting normal. Well, I switched back to his original kitten sensitive tummy food & viola- no more puking. Just something to think about, maybe he needs sensitive stomach food. Good Luck.

I have found there is a difference between vomiting and regurgitating. It sounds like your cat is regurgitating. Does he eat like a dog? i.e. "woofing down his chow? Or does he eat like the dainty prince I'm sure he is? If you are seeing just chewed up food and its expelled right after he eats its probably nothing serious, but its always smart to have him checked by your vet just in case and for your own peace of mind.
