I have a 4 month old kitten that plays a lot. His favorite game is to run into my kitchen, slide full force into the mini blinds and bang into the glass window. After doing this he runs the length of the window doing this gripey yakky meow over and over and over like he's yelling or fussing at something. He seems to be enjoying himself and playing. He just talks a lot. Why would one cat be more vocal than the other one I have?

He has his own purrsonality of course....I have a cat that fetches and talks all the time. She is Siamese and the breed is known for their intelligence as well as their "talkativeness". Maybe the kitten is part Siamese eh? :) I have another cat that only meows when he is hungry or wants something.

Kittens are very very inquisitive and playful -- once I had a litter of kittens and they did all kinds of mischief including ALL FOUR climbing up the curtains over the patio window and swinging around!

Have fun with him while he is little, he will probably get less active as he grows up.

It is all about personality. My cat is about 9-10 years old and the longer she is with me the more she talks to me. We can actually have a conversation; she is so talkative. Not in English language of course. But, I know by how she yips and yows what exactly she wants or needs.

Why does one child play quietly while another screams and runs through the house?
Cats, Kids etc... Different personalities.
Life would be boring if we (or they) were all just alike.

Just a kitten going thru kitten age. He is a happy little cat and you wouldn't really want it any other way.

the talker is just having fun, i also have two cats, one won't shut up, the other very rarely talks. my talkative one have siamese blood in her, which is a very vocal breed. but cats are alot like children, you may have one child that is reserved and shy and the other that is the center of attention
