Whenever I stroke my cat (1yr old) down the bottom of her back she always turns around and cleans it, she doesnt cry or anything but just cleans herself. I only stroke her head now. But why does she do this?

i have 3 nine-week old kittens, and i came to check on them this morning and saw that one of the kitten's eye was swollen and a little red. i thought maybe one of the other kittens accidentally scratched him in the eye. what could have happened to his eye?

The 4 year old is not in need of a lot of attention or affection. She is an outdoor/indoor pet. The newest member is very affectionate and loves attention. It's been 1 week and they can't stand each other. I'm hoping this relationship gets better as time goes on. Any suggestions on what to do? Do you think they will eventually come to terms with each other? And if they don't, then what? We live in a very small house. Thanks.

I am interested in finding out other people that own Calico or Tortoiseshell kittens or cats. We had a baby kitten Calico named Tara (females) that we only had for 18 days (3 years ago) who was under 4 months old and died of a birth defect. We were quite upset to find her and we miss her terribly. We now have 2 female Calico kittens and they are very lovable and are around 3 months old.
I would like to know about your Calico or Tortoiseshell cats, male or female and how old they are/were and how they were like a family member to you. Playful and very lovable??
am quite interested in the theory about the male Calico cats as there aren't very many around. They don't seem to live long??
If you have a club on a website, I would love to see your info and any pics you have.

My kitten loves boiled shrimp. I give him some every other day in small quanaties. Is this bad for his health? I mean his diet is just shrimp, its just a little "sometimes treat."

my boyfriend and i have a blackwhite cute and sweet but often bad cat. we don't know what to do anymore. we take him outside and buy him toys and take good care of him but he sprays everywhere and scratches us without reason. we have tried punishing him by putting him on a leash in the corner but he just goes to sleep and goes back to doing whatever when he is let off. we try yelling no when he's bad and he just runs and then continues. we've tried spraying him with waterbottle and he runs and goes right back. at ropes end we tried spanking him and spraying him all over with water but it didn't work either. it doesn't seem to matter if we are really nice to him or punish him he still acts up. books advice hasn't work. we don't want to get rid of him. we bought him from another owner and we don't know if he was abused or what but he is cute and affectionate when he's good it's just we can't get him to behave. we're afraid to have him neutered/declawed because of phantom pain. what works

My best friend has a cat who was told by a vet that he has feline aids and that he would loose weight dramatically and die. Ok this was almost 2 years ago. This cat is fat and healthy, the only problem is the tip of his tail has rotted off. Could this be an infection from a fight he was in or does this sound like feline AIDS. He leads a normal life, he plays with his sister, eats, sleeps, and goes potty normally. Were all confused. Any knowledge on this subject would be greatly appreciated.

Their crying sound like little kids's crying, those that are draggy.. I often see the cats just sit together at night doing that. Normally, one of them start doing it first. It can go on for up to half an hour.

| am trying to get my little girl cat pregnant she is 16 months and very well. she stayed over at her boyfriends last night and they have done it twice. I am not sure if it was going in so how long should we keep them together to make sure she will have babies. I have good homes for the kittens already and am a responsible cat owner.
