No. Cats shed their claws.
Well not the entire things but the casing around their claws flakes off from time to time. Happens to my cat all the time. Especially when she's been scratching on the carpet or her scratching post...

You MUST leave this cat alone. She is completely traumatised. Give her a room of her own with something in her bed which smells of you - like an old jumper. Give her food, water, 2 litter trays and a scratching post and toys, then leave her alone. The reason for this is that she needs to start feeling secure in one place before she can start to wander around the rest of the house and she also needs to bond with you before her senses are taken over with exploring her environment. When you go into her room, just sit and speak to her quietly. Take some treats in with you like small bits of chicken and dont attempt to touch her until she comes to you. When you leave the room put down some more treats and she will start to associate you with nice things and also see you as her "person" and will bond with you, She will be absolutely fine but she has had a bad experience today and needs time to calm down.

when cats sharpen their claws sometimes they will leave little bits everywhere. Check for swelling, drainage or bleeding. If you see any of those signs, take her immediately to a vet. Otherwise, call the vet tomorrow and get some advise. GL

I assume your talking about little pieces of the cats toenail? If so, this is common, I think. I find little pieces of them. When cats scratch, I think they just come off.
I don't think it's anything to worry about.

They do loose them periodically.....i dont think it is a super bad thing unless there were ALL of them at one time.
