I've used Arm & Hammer brand, and Tidy Cats brand. Both work great for containing odor and clumping.
BUT I have yet to encounter a litter that my cat hasn't managed to track around the room.
Which is why they make those litter box mats. To prevent the amount that goes elsewhere.

They all get tracked around to some extent. But one of the best clumping ones that makes the box easy to scoop is called "Small Spaces" by Tidy Cat. Not sure why that name but it does stop odors well and clumps hard enough to not stick to the bottom of the pan and comes out easily. I also have this plastic thing in front of mine that stops some of the mess. I got it in the rug and welcome mat area at Kmart and it is called a "boot mat". It is a big plastic mat with low sides on it (designed to hold wet boots). It works great to keep mess near the box and can be picked up and the loose stuff just dumped in the trash or back in the box.

Tracking litter is a big pain, isn't it? The best solution I've found is put a door mat in front of the box - the kind you'd buy at any department store, plastic with long bristles. That will trap most of the litter as kitty is leaving the box, and you just shake it out to clean it.

bypass to wal mart, or workplace depot, or someplace and purchase for about 5 money a 13 gallon length storage bin. shrink a hollow in 0.5 of the lid, and use it as your cat field. Now the cat has a extra inner most position to do his corporation, even as he digs it gained't splatter throughout, or perhaps as he jumps out he gained't get close to as a lot muddle everywhere. no longer something i have got here upon is ideal, yet this works truly reliable. I also comprehend of one woman that makes use of somewhat of a drop ceiling mild diffuser panel. that's kind of a chrome honeycomb searching element. She places her cat field on it, and her cats free the muddle contained in the mild panel even as they bypass out of the field. keeps it in a unmarried attainable position truly of throughout. She swears it truly works authentic reliable.
