I think you really need to meet the cat first before you decide on a name. But, it's always good to have some names in mind - just like when you have a baby. :) We have had many cats over the years - right now we have a female named Lexi and a male named Joe (it took us weeks to decide on his name). We have also had a female named Max and males named Pokey and Jake. My friend has a female named Gracie (I just love that!).
You also need to decide if you like "human" names (Joe, Max, Grace, Brody, etc.) or "pet" names (Spot, Fluffy, Whiskers, etc.).

You really need to see the cat first. A good name comes from the cats personality or appearance. You might even want to start a theme for this cat and future cats names. For example, I had two cats named Daphne and Athena, for greek goddesses.

Once you get the cat, see how she acts. If she is a "spas" or more the calm one and name your cat by her attitude. Like mine the one is quite calm and all loving, and she loves to sit in the moon light, so i named her Luna. the other one on the other hand is the complete opposite a real "spas" so i named her Magick. my German Shepard male was a huge pup, so bear was the first thing that popped in my head but every other German Shepard is named BEAR.. well.. so i named mine "Baloo" the bear from the jungle book...:))

Well I like the name Brody for a cat.
:)
It's powerful-sounding and can work for a female or male kitty.

kitty, all cats like to be called kitty. If she doesnt respond to kitty, just call her kisses, and suck your lips together making a slight kissing effect.
