When I feed my 8 week old kitten she meows when she eats..Do you know why she does this? Its only with the dry food..Not with her milk..thankyou

She could be meowing in contentment. Some cats will do that. I'm fostering a cat right now, that almost constantly meows, for no apparent reason.

If Im not mistaken your kitten is getting new teeth and has problems chewing the hard bits of the dry food.
I would suggest you soak it up in water or serve other food for a few weeks.

milk...bah humbug
need more nutrition than milk

I'm no expert but meowing is communication
I'd ask my vet to check her out if you are truly concerned
or switch to wet food

I used to have a cat that talked when she ate, too. It was sooo cute!!!

I think cats are like people - each have their own little odd habits you can't explain. I'd say she's just talking to her food.

It hurts her teeth. Give her soft cat food and see if that helps.

it could be harmful for her cause maybe food jump to trachea and make aspiration pneumonia,see your vet..
