Trained cat? You cant train a cat.I got a Persian reg. female.she went, beside. the litter box. for months/ wouldn't stop.I finally put her outside, she clawed to the door for two days, when I let her in. she RAN to poop beside the litter box, you cant train a cat. they will continue doing this from now on.I believe. sorry.another funny story. I finally just knocked another cat off the kitchen table, she wouldnt stop getting on it.I woke up to her pooping on my foot. I laughed, she got me back. prehaps put some furniture on where they go. and put litter boxes near there?spray the area they go with some strong chemical smelling stuff.?

they do it in the corner because the seem to think that it is OK, the kitten must have done it once, and gotten away with it, so now the cat does it to, just show them the litter box, and they will be fine.

Is the cat "fixed"? If not it is marking it's territory.
Change the litter often.
Fresh Water.
Sometimes a change in food can bring this on.
Last, talk to a vet. :)
Good luck.

I trained my 8 month old cat to use the toilet. If only I he would learn to flush it himself then life would be grand.

Ahh, the joys of bringing in a new kitty where there is an established cat. Jealousy. Try feliway. http://www.feliway.uk.com/feliway_uk.nsf/Page?OpenForm

if the kitten went to the toilet on the carpet then your other cat would have picked up the scent and gone to toilet their aswell, its a territory thing.

Well, it might be taht they compete with marking their habitat. Or you might have carried some scnet of some other cat with the soles under your own shoes.

Jealous, Meanness, spite. If you do something they do not like this is how they often get back at you. They cannot tell you they don't like it so they act out. Or could be marking territory
