What is your opinion on black cats, what do you associate them with? Do you like them? How would you describe them? Do you own one? etc

My cat had constipation from a hairball and was given an enema one week ago. She emptied out and since then has been back to "normal" in terms of attitude and appetite. She is not vomiting, but she has not had a bowel movement in 7 days. She exhibits no signs of pain and has not been in the litter box straining, either. Basically, she is one happy kitty -- eating well, playing, and urinating normally. She just hasn't deficated. My vet said to wait a few days but I think she should have had a bowel movement by now?

with a cat that pulls out his own back hair or hisses and gowls at his own tail, and please dont say shoot it and its not nessesarily a take it to the vet problem. Weve been using fronline all sumer so it isnt fleas and the only place he pulls it out is his back. he does only seem to do it when he annoyed or i find that his food dish is empty. I think hes just nuts. but very kind to everyone but himself and his tail, lol.
It does seem like an anger control problem, and he is feed off the floor, so the dog dosent eat all the his food. and normally his bowl is full or half full. im getting really sick of waking to fluffs of cat hair all over my couch and carpet. He also brings every sock and anything else white that he can and drags it into the livingroom, I think he is just nuts.

he is an indoor cat and he keeps losing his toys.

i cant afford to buy him toys all they time so what else can i do?

he gets given catnip once a week so he doesnt get too used to the smell.

he is a bit over wieght so how can i get him more active. letting him out isnt an option as i live on a very busy road and all my nieghbours have dogs.

A lady I met says that my cat is of a specific breed. I just thought I had a normal Hines 57 cat. She couldn't recall the name of the breed. So that made me curious to find out what breed Mr. Bojangles is... I've looked at a few websites but he's not listed on there. Does anyone know of a good website that has MANY breeds of different cats? Thanks :-)

I thought I heard that you could but I want to make sure it doesn't hurt my cats. They never go in the attic but will the smell affect humans or other pets?

My vet prescribed for my cat half tablet of acepromazine 10 mg before travelling because my cat will be travelling 4 hours in the car and then 6 hours later with me in the cabin on an international flight to Europe. What should I expect? I do not want to see my cat heavily sedated but still want to give her relief from the terrible nausea she suffers in the car.

I've become friends with a cat, he isn't fully grown but is bigger than a kitten. He's a lovely tabby cat, and really friendly. He came in to my hosue today, and I was playing with him, dangling a shoelace in front of him. He was really playing, then he grabbed the shoelace and ran off! He was running down the street with my shoelace dangling out of his mouth. I was wondering if he will ever bring it back? I've never known a cat to run of like this with playing, usually my cats just drop if when they realise it isn't moving!

We already have a dog a (shitzu), and a cat(who is with his claws). They get along great. The cat is male and neutered. about 4-5 years old, the dog is about 10 years old. My daughter is moving back home and wants to bring her male neutered with claws cat here also. He is about a year old. Will this work, or should I tell her to find another home for him??

My neutered male and I have been together for 8 years and in two different countries in lots of different places. We recently adopted another male (1 yr old) and the older cat tries to exert his dominance over the new comer. i allow that to a point except when I fear some injury is about to take place. Then I startle them with the water pistol or with the loud shaking of a bottle of pills. The kitten scoots away but my 8 yr old runs to me, hunches doen at my feet and I get all soft and pat him - destrying the discipline at once! Why does the cat do this? Why is he not afraid of me just one little bit? PLEASE DO NOT tell me to hit him because I'd as soon hit myself.

I see it a lot on here and know guys like this but I do not understand it. They are absolutely my favorite animal. I study psychology so one would think I could figure this out - but it baffles me to no end. Is it because cats seem so independent and self-sufficient - and some people thing "arrogant" in a way? Really, help me understand this. In Egypt they were worshipped and Salem they were burned. So freaking bizarre.
