bugger the RSPCA! call the cats protection league who will come and put out a cat trap and get it treated. The RSPCA will only come out if there are television cameras and Rolf Harris about.
Incidentally, if you cannot catch it, how do you know it has no teeth?
Have you asked around your neighbours to see if it belongs to someone. It would be terrible if it was some old lady's pet cat which she had had from a kitten.
There is nothing YOU can do to stop it's suffering. You have no idea if it IS suffering. The only thing you can do is call the CPL and get them to come and catch it.
It isn't up to the general public to decide if an animal is suffering and take matters into their own hands. If you personally do anything to this cat, you will be breaking the law. If you get found out, not only will you go to jail, but animal rights people will give you so much hassle that you will have to move house.

Since the RSPCA are not doing their job (hiss on you RSPCA)! then call a good vet in your area and ask for advise on what can be done. The poor thing! Thank you for being kind enough to care.

The poor thing sounds like it may have feline leukaemia and if it has without help it will die a horrible and painful death trust me i know cos i have had cats that have suffered with it.
A local vet should be able to put you in touch with someone from a cat's protection league who should have a safe trap you could use to catch the cat.
Good luck.

Tell thr RSPCA that your gonna contact the press if they don't come and help the poor cat , they will not want their reputation to be damaged , they are supposed to be caring , its so sad to hear of the poor things plight , all you can do to help it is to give it a box outside for shelter also a little fish and water , it will at least be comfortable .

That's so sad. Is there a Humane Society or city Animal Control in your area? If not, try to follow up with your city council. A sick animal like that is not only suffering but he could be carrying diseases that are harmful to the public. If the aspca is not helping, the city needs to step in.

i think you should try a different animal rescue service, its awful that the RSPCA isnt interested, But if you take him to a vet it could cost you alot of money, but keep feeding it, and being humane. Dont give up on it, it obviously trusts that you will care for it. x

For certain, it's better to contact a local cat rescue organisation rather than the RSPCA or police. A local vet might be able to put you in touch with your nearest one if you phone him/her. Or this website might help.

If the SPCA in your area will not do anything, there is also the Dog Warden in every city that can be called and will give you suggestions as to who to contact. There are also a lot of rescue organizations that are either listed on the internet or telephone directory. Unless you want to rescue this poor animal yourself, which sounds as if it would be a huge undertaking, I would not feed it because it is yours for life if you do!
