Your cat is happy.
He likes you and is comfortable with his surroundings.
He is actually entertaining you.
He is trying to get your attention to play with him.
As simple as that.

Apparently he found the same meth dealer that my cat has. Actually I seen a good number of cats do the same or similar things. Some type of play and they are trying to get you involved. Next time he runs into the room stops and starts to leave, chase him down the hall then stop and run away. He'll probably chase you until you turn and chase him again. At least mine does.

My cat does that too. Sometimes I think he's seeing unforseen things....like ghosts or something. He would just be sitting calmly and look off somewhere real quick, then off he goes....flying through the air...climbing the walls...REALLY trying to climb the walls...jumping off people and my dogs. He looks possessed when he does this....and he is fixed and 3 years old...and psycho.

You cat is just that a cat and cats will suddenly get a burst of energy and just seem to go nuts. Hes just playing, now if he were like mine and pulling out his back hair hissing and growling at his own tail, and draging around white object then id say yes he is crazy, but your sound purrfectly normal.

Most to all cats do these types of things....especially at night...that is how they amuse themselves and let out some of that pent upped energy out...it shows that they are healthy and very happy....so just lie back and watch the entertainment...I'm sure you'll have a good laugh

He has a lot of energy, my kitten is doing that too, all you need to do is to make sure to play with him for at least an hour a day. Then he will calm down a little. If you get him fixed then he will calm down a lot.
