It depends on what the cat gets up to, if like my 12 cats it is an INDOOR only cat then you really won't need to do it very often maybe once a y ear just to be cautious, but if it goes outside and cathes mice and birds etc. thn the usual recommendation is 3 monthly intervals it also depends on what type of worming treaten you use, check with your vet but be careful as they do tend to be a bit worm treatment happy! and will worm an animal as matter of course regardless of if they need it, which can cause more trouble than benefit as over medication can be a serious problem, I breed cats and always worm new kittens before they go to their homes, but some vets will insist on worming them again too soon which can make a cat ill.

we usually only do it for kittens...but if your cat is an outdoor cat you can worm her every year or every other year. Most times adult cats can fight off any worms, but kittens can't. Bring a stool sample to your vet and they can determine if your cat needs to be wormed or not. The worming medication is sort of expensive. its about $7 for a liquid or pill form and thats to treat a 5lb cat.

That depends.. if you see evidence of worms in its doo doo.. then follow the instructions on the box.. I think it is once today and another in 3 days time.. but it depends on what is written on the box.. You should not just give worm medicine to be giving it.. ONLY when you see evidence that the kitty has worms

I think the correct answer would be every 12 weeks, but
I do my Horse, dogs and cats twice a year, April as I turn
my horse out for the summer and October when I bring him
in, this way I do not forget !! plus have never had a problem
!! good luck !!

I went to my vet yesterday, my Fluke is 6 months old, they say that he should have been wormed every month until he was 6 months. Then once every three months thereafter.

I only do it when I first bring them home OR if I introduce a new "pal" into the mix. (I'm a cat person and used to do rescue). My cats are only indoor cats so there's no need to do it very often.
