I just bought a cerry crate for my one year old male cat. The crate it meant for animals below 10lbs. My cat weights about 8lbs.... He can turn around in the crate but he can't sit up or stand up... is it too small for him? I am only useing it to go one block around the courner to the Vets office. he will be in the crate for no longer than half an hour.

How long does it take to work? Also have you heard of cats and dogs getting tapeworms from fleas, and can humans get tapeworms from the pet or the flea?

I have a stray cat that I feed and it stays outside most of the time (I have had him neutered). I do not let it stay in overnight because I don't like to deal with the litter box. It's getting cold outside and I was considering buying a dog house for it to sleep in and I will put bedding inside for it. I am also going to buy one of those plastic "doors" you attach to the dog house to help keep the cold air out. Does anyone have any experiences with a cat sleeping in a dog house? Do you know if they make houses specifically for cats?

Why is it that cats will always sit in your way. (in front of the computer screen, on your homework, on your newspaper, etc?)

She will sit, beg, give me her paw, and lie down for a treat. But I can't get her to do the rollover thing. Anybody succesfully done this? Or should I just accept her limits as a catdog?

She will eat and then 2 - 3 min. later she will throw it up. The food isn't digested at all. I have switched her food so many times and tried only giving her small amounts but nothing works. Can anyone help?

What about salmon? I saw some really skinny stray kittens and I thought of feeding them, but I have no catfood.

My wee 7 week old orphan kitten got hit on the head yesterday by a slamming door (strong gust of wind). The vet gave her an injection to ease the pressure on her spine and said to give her 24 hours. She doesn't appear to be any better after 18 hours: pupils hugely dilated and eyes unresponsive. Her body is limp and her wee feet are all pale (vet said from the shock).
She still breathes strongly on her own but am scared to try to try to give her water.
Am heartbroken as she was such a gorgeous, friendly, bouncy little kitten but should i get her put down?

I just brought a young stray cat home from work, she was outside.
I saw some black flecks fall onto my t-shirt, and saw an adult cat flea this morning. The cat's been in the home 2 days. I intend to clean and vaccumn the rugs and scrub the floors and treat the cat as well, is there anything else I should do?
