I do not see any worms, but for a kitten it seems like her belly is too swollen. I heard that worms could be the cause.

The wormer that are sold over the counter are products that veterinarians no longer use because they are too harsh or ineffective. For your cat it is best to have a veterinarian precribe the right medication. There are three types of worms that cats can have and you are unnecessarily introducing poisons into your cat's system by using the wrong medication.

Not really. I've tried those before and then found out that they were for an entirely different worm than what my cat had. Different wormers work on different types of worms. I ended up having to go to the vet anyway. You don't have to bring your cat. Just tell him what the worms look like that your cat has and he will give you some worm meds for it.

They work on some types of worms but not all. The vet can give your pet a shot that will get all the worms. I'd recommend that instead of an over the counter thing. Plus, keep your pet on Advantage or Frontline to eliminate fleas. When your pet eats the fleas, it can lead to tape worms.

No, in fact, they are dangerous. Take the cat to the vet, they'll give the cat a strong pill that is designed specifically for that purpose.
