Aren't you suppose to put your kitten nose right next the mess the made on the floor (potty mess) then scold them and put them in their litter box or does it tell them to keep going there on the floor instead of in the box?

I have two male cats. 1 is 3 yrs. old and the other is 14. I just got a puppy. he is now 6 months old. He chases the younger cat. The older cat just hisses and stays put as he is the king of the house and the puppy doesn't bother him. The younger cat runs til he jumps up on something or just plays dead on the floor. It's so funny! How do i get the cats used to the puppy? Also, how do i keep the dog from chewing on things? The dog is in the kitchen that is blocked off with his bedding, food and litter. All of his things are there and he is happy but i can't keep doing this for long and keeping him penned up. I want a harmonious household of animals! Anyone with similar experiences, please help!! Thanks!!

The problem I am having is with one of my cats. She refuses to get along with one of my other cats. I have a male (fixed) and 3 female (fixed) but one of the females was born with a big eye (nomal)size and a small eye(abnomal) one of my females will not get along with her so what can I do? Is it because of the deformity or what? please help! I love them all.

Are they crammed in with other cats in a cage. Ignored and not fed. Put in a back room to wait? How long do they have to wait? Do they smell danger coming?

Reason: My adopted kitten was rescued by a volunteer from being put to sleep and taken to a no kill shelter three hours away. She seems to have been mistreated and doesn't want to be touched.

Does anyone know what goes on or doesn't go on in the death waiting room?

Our 6 mo old male cat was recently neutered. When picked up, the vet tech told us to keep him away from our female spayed cats for a few days because he would become aroused. I never heard anything like this before. Is this common? I've never raised a male cat (only females), so I don't know what to expect from his behavior. Any advice would help.

I bought him two scratching poles. One he can chill in. Its a carpeted kitty condo. He lays on that and looks out the window.

Another one is just a pole with carpet on it. He will not use it. I've tried putting treats on it, and cat nip but nothing.

Ohh yeah another question...
how can I make him sleep in his cat bed?

My cat Jessie is a moggie, and normally okay, but every year around now, her fur seems to go matted, I'm trying to comb her, and the fur seems "dead" and has knots in it. there's also a lot of white bits, that seem like dried skin or dandruff. It's almost as if there is no oil in the fur if that makes sense..... any ideas? We have four cats, and the other three are okay.

I am deciding whether i want to feed her dry food for breakfast and maybe some canned food for dinner. I just want to make sure that is healthy for her. Thanks

What could be causing her to chew her fur under her tummy and towards her hind legs? Any ideas would help.

I only feed my cats dry cat-food. I hate the smell and look of canned food. Is this bad? They do have water to drink as often as they want.

I figured dry cat-food is good for keeping their teeth healthy.
