ok well my cat's upper lip is swollen and its bleeding every once in ahwile, and we called the vet and asked them what to do and they just said that a cut on the lip takes awhile to heal, and that was it. well we think that one of our other cats scratched her while playing or arguing one of the two and so now her lip is swollen on top. what can I do to comfort her and ease the swelling and stop the bleeding??

Many pet stores sell animal clothes for cats and dogs but I'm looking for a burlap or kevlar lined sweater and knit hat for my cat.

Basically, my neighborhood has a problem with airgun snipers.
They tend to fire .177 (4.5 mm ) lead airgun pellets like this one
http://www.pyramydair.com/images/BN-Laser.177.jpg

...at cats, birds and squirrels. I believe the velocity they are fired at is below 1250 Feet per second. Basically it only takes a velocity of 400 FPS to penetrate cat skin but, if the cat is wounded, it lingers and dies.
Voelocities upwards of 600 FPS are required to penetrate the skull of a cat in the event of a head shot, so that is why i'm looking for the kevlar lined knit cap too.

Where can I find these things?
It bothers me that my cat will be going out the house with more armor than your typical US SOLDIER.

My cat is 6 months old and I'm so curious if anyone else has a cat that meow and whines when he plays with a particular toy. Only that toy makes him act that way...there is NO catnip in it. It's the strangest thing, he doesn't look happy or upset but just walks around the house meowing and whining.

Today I took my cat to the vets and it was close enough so I put my cat on a leash and walked with her there and she was cool with it. Does anyone else do it?

Hey everyone I got an important question... my cat just had kittens yesterday morning on into the evening. she had 7 kittens. one of the babies came of sideways, and it caused her to hemerage. Well this morning is when she started to hemerage so I took her straight to the vets {which is right beside my house luckily} In order to keep her living she had to have a total hysterectomy. So I said of course cuz I love my cat. Well it took them about 2 hours to perform the surgery and I picked her up. I brought her home and she seemed fine.. the vet told me to let the kittens feed and of course I did or they would've starved! Well anyways my mom is over and she was showing our cousin my cat. Well I guess she noticed she was bleeding so she took something and wiped off her wound. Well she stood her up and blood started dripping out of her wound.. I about freaked.. so my mom wiped it up again and it started bleeding more! omg I am scared.. She is laying in her pen right now, and she doesn't..

I rescued a kitten that was abandoned by her mother at 4 days old and actually I brought her in the house to die in comfort but I took to good of care of her and she lived. Her name is Birdie. She has been back and forth to the vet with URI's and is over that now. She is just over 18 mos old and is smaller than a 6 month old cat but now the vet is telling me that she is retarded ( along with having a twisted spine). She is very strange, but I love her to death. She can never go outside alone and I have outfitted the front porch so she can go out there and hang out. She does not walk anywhere, she hops at a high rate of speed. She is always falling off things and is not very graceful at all. But I know she loves me because everytime she see's me or I am near her she purrs....alot and loud. Can she live a normal and long life?

Alright, my cat is about 13-14 years old and her eyes have always, always been an older map sort of yellow color. However, about four weeks ago, her eyes suddenly started changing to a dark orange-brown color in about half her eye on each side. I can't find anything about it anywhere, so I'm wondering what could be the problem. I'm currently unable to take her to the vet because of money issues, but any help would be greatly appreciated so that I could further understand what's going on. Oh, and her behavior since then has been more skittish and less trusting of me. She won't let me pick her up unless I corner her! Anyways, any answers would be immensely appreciated, especially about the eyes!

My cat's bottom lip looks kind of swollen and pink. She flinches if I try to take a closer look. My husband says it might be some kind of cold sore. Any suggestions on how to make her feel better, or should I just leave it alone for now?

We need to get our cat spayed v. soon so she doesn't have another litter but our vet won't do the op while she's lactating, and the kitten we're keeping won't stop feeding from her. As long as there is a demand for the milk she keeps on producing it, so we have to keep mother and babe apart, but for how long? The whole business is distressing - for the animals and us.

Thanks to everyone who's offered such great advice on kitty-rearing. Here's an interesting one: A couple friends were outside on the balcony, they got up for a couple minutes, and when they returned there were three piles of kitty poop around one of the chairs. I wasn't home at the time. And it wasn't diarreah or anything strange. Any explanations? Thanks.

He broke his leg when he fell and would not stop crying so I wrapped a sandwich baggie around his head to make him stop only I think I he died. What should I tell my girlfriend happened, I wouldn't want her to think I'm a cat killer.
