Today I took my cat to the vets and it was close enough so I put my cat on a leash and walked with her there and she was cool with it. Does anyone else do it?

That's really cool! I have walked cats on leashes (you must use a halter and a leash. Cats necks are far too delicate to control them with only a collar and a leash).
I have five cats now and have cat fence-in for my back garden. So my cats can "exercise" and get fresh air and sunshine and I don't take them walking anymore.

I have had two that walked right beside me at heel, without leashes. To the store and back, to the beach and back, just like dogs they walked with me - they were great cats. Never had to use a leash, but I don't suppose they would have minded.

Yes it is fine I seen people walk their cat and dog together both without a leash. It's all about training, do it on a regular basis gets the cat use to it.

I have never personally walked a cat on a leash but I have had my cats follow me for about a mile up the road to the mailbox, and they did it on a daily basis and loved it, so??

Whoa, that's amazing! Cool!
Our cats would never in a million years let me put a leash on them and walk them, but if I want to walk up and down the sidewalk in front of our house, they are delighted to sit in a window and watch me. ;-)

yes many years ago we had a cat called, Jane she was a mute never meaowed(how do you spell meaow)anyway, she also couldn't climb very well, so she could never leave the back yard we thought this was unfair so bought a harness leash and we used to take her for walks in the park let her off to play and she loved it

Wow, I wish I could walk my cats on a leash. That is neat, but to answer your question, no I don't walk my cats, they get lots of exercise playing with one another. And me. :)

My cats love to go outside on their leash, they run around, eat some grass, lay around. If I take them out too often though they start to expect it.

I used to walk my Siamese many years ago, but I had them on cat bridals and leash, not collar.
