Wow, the possibilities are endless! You could also go with mythology names (Mercury, Inanna, Sekmet), proper (human-sounding) names (Maggie, James, Sallie), flower names (Violet, Bluebelle, Morning Glory), gemstone names (Opal, Ruby, Emerald), colors (Crimson, Jade, Scarlett), characters from movies, video games and books, anything goes! Let your imagination run wild.
I have 10 cats and each has a carefully chosen name:
1) Tweetie: named for Tweetie bird.
2) Bastet: named for cat-headed Egyptian goddess
3) Jal: Gypsy name meaning "he goes" or "wanderer"
4) Li-Liang: Chinese name meaning "excellent strength"
5) Pasht: an alternate name for Bastet
6) Nephthys: named for Egyptian goddess associated with death because she's solid black
7) Wulfgar: named for a character in RA Salvatore's books
8) Ma'at: named for Egyptian goddess of truth, justice & order
9) Ren: named for a character in a story I'm writing
10) Jak: named after a character in one of my husband's favorite video games "Jak and Daxter" (My husband wanted to name him Daxter, but I thought that sounded too dorky.)

I always pick names that are really different because everyone got the same name as in (fee fee, buddy, snowball, tiger, smokey, baby, foxy) I always pick names that are kind of weird or unheard off.Or I pick names off movies because I'm a movie junkie. My cats names are (chewy (as in chewbacca),guy (which he picked his own name),hoops, hobbit, demon,Lucifier ( but since she's a girl I call her Lucifiee),ugly, little foot, and of course the one and only golium. There names fit them very well trust me.Try those and see what I mean. When people come over they ask me there names and they think they are real cool and unique. But, good luck sweety.

Wait until you bring home your new kitten then spend a couple days loving it. You'll come up with the perfect name that fits its personality. You'll just know what you should name it yourself. Congratulations on your new pet.

Male: Mr. O'Riley (as in he'll have the life of Riley..spoiled.)
Female: Lil Mizz ( as in Mizz is spoiled & rules the house)
I don't know about you, but when I have pets...I spoil them.
So..I usually pick a name to suit the personality. (which after I get through with them...they're always spoiled rotten.)
Congratulations on the new kitten.
And good luck finding a name .

It depends on the cat and the gender. I base the names on fur color, fur texture, personality, and looks. I honestly think that cats deserve good names. Thyink long and hard like you are trying to name a newborn or something.I belive cats are that important.Of course you dont have to do that...
=( ^.^ )=
You can just name them. But still...cats deserve alot of attention and love. So...
Good Luck!

They have pet names from A to Z, and even German and Japanese names. It's pretty cool.
