which works better in your opinion? cost is not important - quality is. i have a year old maine coon and a 9 year old tabby? and which is better to use on a kitten once it's old enough? (right now she is only 6 weeks - so she's not old enough for either.)

My cat keeps sitting outside his litter box and whining, even when it is clean. I think he might be constipated. Is there anything I can do about that?

Nothing else seems to be wrong with him. He doesn't appear to be in any sort of pain.

recently i adopted a stray cat. after doing some search on the internet, I think the cat might be a birman. However, it's feet are not whie.. ie.. no gloves... it's eyes are pale blue... not a typical blue as a birman.... despite these, it looks pretty much like a birman... can anyone tell me how to distinguish my cat?? any possibilities that it's neither himalayan and birman??
thanks a lot...

My 5-year-old female cat has a problem with diarhea, if I give her too much milk, or the wrong kind of food, etc. What's a good brand of food to feed her for this? (I am in the midwestern US, by the way).

I recently adopted her from the local humane society. She is two years old. I came back in from outside just now, and had a moth on my foot. It flew away and she caught it and ate it. My other cat catches the normal stuff like rabbits, and mice when I let him. Whats going on with her. He doesn't catch bugs and eat them!?

my 8-yr old neutered male cat is 14 lbs. He is muscular; not at all flabby; but from the back, you can see how WIDE he is. Vet told me that his ideal weight ought to be 10 - 12 lbs. Stupid me, I forgot to ask him for a diet... anyone there with experience on getting a cat's weight down successfully? Oh, I feed the cat mostly canned food with a bit of kibble for his teeth. Thanks!

We've gotten a 5 month old male cat a week ago. He is following me and loves to play. But he is, I would say, agressive towards my dad. For example, my dad was trying to pad him when he was laying on a chair and the cat started to hiss at him and scratch him.

Why is the cat only nice to me and does not like anyone else? Is there anything we could do to make him like other people, not just me?

-Thank you :)

I've been posting about my website lately, and people were talking about having problems with it. It became obvious today that someone was on my server and able to disconnect other people from the stream. I noticed that somehow they were avoiding showing up on the "event log" of people (ip addresses) which shows me who/when people connect and disconnect.
Why would someone do that?
Its a street cat rescue website with live streaming video of the kitties needing homes. Its at http://www.kittiesinthehood.com
Now I have to have a security guy come in and check it out.
Thanks

everyday i fill her bowl up with fresh water, most of the time filtered water. for the last week, several times she has flipped it completely over, and is very thirsty when i get home. i know she loves running water, specifically the bathtub and faucet, but she has never had problems with her water bowl until recently. she is about 8-9 months old, and during the day she is in my room while i am gone. tonight when i got home, her bowl was knocked over, so i gave her some more water and she was very thirsty, but after a few seconds she dumped it again. help. i am worried about her during the day cause i am gone anywhere from 8-14 hours sometimes.

My cat is about two years old and she has something called seizures once in a while. It may sound funny but it's not.
Do any of you people have a cat like that too?
The vet ran a blood test and there wasn't any liver or kidney problem. He said she's just going to live like that. Someone please conversate with me? Everytime my cat goes through a seizures she always leave behind pee, I don't want her like that for the rest of her life, concidering she only has 6 left from 3 seizures incidents. No she doesn't bleed or foam afterward, she just... goes back to what she does. Watching her have seizures is almost watching her die in pain.

For once my cat decided to sleep with me so she crawled onto my blanket for three hours as I slept on the couch. And I remember I was dreaming but I still felt something shaking, and I woke up franticly. It's not cool seeing her like that. It's so called normal to many dogs but may also occur but may also occur in cats.

Thanks.

Persian cats are known to be one of the calmest cats around. Mine is diffrent, she's very playful like a siamese cat.. Sometimes, she wakes up during midnight to wake me up and play with her. How can i teach her to play on a proper time? Like, how can i stop her to play and run around my apartment specially during nightime

my boyfriend was scratching her back, and I was scratching her ears and neck (she always loves this). I was rubbing and scratching away when she suddenly bit down on my hand and started scratching me. When I pulled away, she started swiping at me and hissing! I have no idea why, shes never reacted that way before, i never scratch her hard or anything. Whats up?

I took Miss Meow for grooming, you know shampoo, nail clipping, etc. She is 17 years old so I was worried about her being drugged. I was assured that would not happenbut when I went to pick her up and she could hardly stand, no one would talk to me so I left and immediateley took her to her vet. They did blood work and found that she had if fact been sedated. Question is, do you think the clinic should be taken to task for what they did, at her age they could have killed her. I thank the powers that be that she is still with me but I think a mandatory donation to the SPCA would be in order.
