My dog loves the treats they make for dogs. I see they have a cat version. I know nothing about cats. I just know cats are totally different from dogs. I was wondering if they like the Greenies cat treats?

Does anyone have any input on that version for cats?

that whenever my cat gets out of the house, the first thing he does is flop on the ground and start rubbing and rolling himself all over the ground. What does this mean? He only does it when he goes outside. I know other cats do this too, it's not just mine. I was just wondering if anyone knows why they do this.

My husband and I are leaning towards getting them a kitten. I'm just not sure what I need to know or be concerned about. I'm afraid of getting them a kitten and then having lots of surprises and then wishing we did't get the kitten. Any advice would be appreciated.

I got a new 1-year-old cat today and for the past 6 hours she has been hiding behind the headboard of my bed, squeezed up against the wall. I wanted to give her some time to get adjusted so I just moved the bed to give her a little more room back there, but I had hoped she would have at least come out and poked around a little by now! Anyone have any suggestions on what to do next?

Never thought of myself as a cat lover, although I certainly never disliked them. However about a year ago a kitten showed up at my back window and simply would not leave until I took him in. I'm surprised how attached I have become to him - as much as I have been to any dog.

Also would be interested to hear about other great mousers out there. My cat has 24 hour access to the outside (live in the country) and he will bring in up to 5 or 6 mice, birds, and rabbits A DAY sometimes! I mean I know cats are superior hunters, but this guy could feed a housefull of cats. Would be curious to hear about other little killers out there.

I need a good name. His picture is at the link below, but it really doesn't do this sweetheart justice. Hes loving, playful, and EXTREMELY sweet. He asks for love, but isn't needy. He's a male, and will probably get to be a big boy.

So far we have Oreo (black on the outside, white down the middle?) and someone wanted to call him "moocow", but I don't really love either of those.

Thanks for the input!

I just visited my local SPCA website and saw this cream color male cat who recently had srugery in which his right front leg was amputated because of some cruelty reason. you can see his stitches and where some of his fur was shaved. I went to their site because I'm thinking about adopting a cat from there. I'm most likly going to adopt him because he's a very affection little cat and enjoys the company of other cats (I already have a 2 yr. old female). he's pretty little boy too. I've heard that many people don't adopt animals like these because they think that they need special attention. so, my question to you is... would you adopt a 3 legged cat. it doesn't matter becuase I'm still getting him anyway. I'm just curious as to what you say. Thanks!!

My very young cat had 2 kittens. They are almost 2 months old and are pooping and peeing wherever they feel like it. I tried giving them a litter box but they ignore it. Their mother goes into the basement to use the litter boxes down there. The kittens don't see their mother down there because they don't even know there is a basement. They can't copy what they don't see. I have a baby who is crawling so this is very stressful to be constantly cleaning my floors! Because of the baby I can't open the basement door and let the kittens follow mommy. The cat has to use the cat-door. I've tried everything but putting the kittens down there. I can't lock all the cats in the basement, I have too many. But unless I do that the mother will just come back upstairs and the kittens will follow. It is so tough to have untrained kittens to train and have a crawling baby to teach how to walk at the same time! What do I do??????

Mandy has been living with my family for 18 mos. She has certainly come a long way but I am not able to successfully capture her without scars. I have to get her to a vet b/c I think she has a urinary tract infection. She has been soiling my rugs constantly & always used the litter along with her sister & my male cat. Please help with any advice. I have become scared of a little "scaredy cat".

I am really thinking of buying one because of the bad reviews for Littermaid. Does anyone have the new Littermaid 9000? Is is any better than the previous models?
