blankets, towels, any kind of fabric. It's disgusting. She hasn't always done this. Within the last year it has gotten crazy. Why is she doing this and how can I get her to stop? It's so bad I've been thinking of putting her down, but I don't want to do that. She's 11 and is a strictly in-door cat.

I have a female cat that I love dearly. She is my first cat and she is really loved. I havent had her spade yet. I'm not sure if it is a good idea or not. She is also an indoor cat and has a lot of toys and gyms to keep her busy. I make sure that she has the best type of food and very importently - I make sure that she is happy and feels loved. My concern is - what can (or what else can) I do to make sure she lives the longest possible??

The last few years my cat and I have an understanding. He goes outside to play and then when he comes in he behaves... Now, the last several days he is not interested in going outside. It seems a little like he might be depressed. Normally the cat would have torn things up around the house and broken some windows by now. I am not sure if the cat is just depressed from losing some friend, or is sick. I can imagine either case to be true... At the same time though, the cat eats normally, hangs out with me like normal, and grooms like normal... I have tried to ask it what the heck is up... Got me wierded out now. Has anyone had this happen to them? Did you figure out what it was? I am interested in hearing what you guys think about this one... I will check in on answers and leave more info if you ask for it... Thanks!

My cat was spayed when she was 6 weeks old. When we first took her home she was way shy. but she got used to us. then she wouldnt let us pick her up. all of a sudden she wouldnt let us pet her. she got real mean, and i have a fealing it was because she was traumatized. or it realy herts her stomach to be touched. she is 4 now and will let us pet her but we still cant pick her up, and no 1 can get near her stomach. do you think when she gets older we will be able to pick her up, and not be so nervious to pet her?
