Yes it is. Treat is as you would any tinned meat. Cat food tends to have a strong odour, so it's a good plan to cover it or wrap it so that other foods, particularly dairy products, don't absorb the smell.
As regards health hazards, your cat food is tinned under quite as high standards as human food (and a great deal of it is actually tasted by humans, as well, as part of the quality program), so there is as much chance of undesirable bacteria being in it as there is in a tin of corned beef.

Yes it is fine..I do it all the time. My kitty only gets two teaspoons of wet food a day, as a kitty treat. So there is no way I would go through a whole can. She also gets dry to munch on during the day (about 1/4 to 1/2 cup) I put the rest in the fridge with a plastic cover over the opened can. I even heat it up in the microwave for her before I serve her dinner it makes the food smell better and most cats dont like cold food.

Only if you remove it from the tin. It should last 2 to 3 days in the fridge.

The cat food will be fine, but one should never put open tins of any kind into the fridge. it is very dangerous for bacteria growth apparently.

You should store opened cat food in the fridge to prevent it going off.
It should be covered either with a protective pet food lid or some cling film to prevent your fridge smelling of cat food and to prevent contamination with any human food that is also being stored in the fridge !

Yes, I do it all the time. Put a lid on the tin, or cover it with cling-film.
Warm the food up then before you feed it to the cat next time.

I would take it out of the tin first. Once the tin is exposed ie - opened, the food will be compromised and primed for growth due to the metal.

I don't think cats mind too much (bear in mind that cats eat out of the bins), and it might make you're fridge a little whiffy! But I knew someone who would microwave the cat food to make it extra tasty - needless to say her house smelt funny!
