Thank you for attempting to find a good home for your pets. I'm sorry that your situation has changed such that you have to part with them. The link below is for shelters around Indiana. I'm sorry, I don't know the geography of Indiana to know which ones are near you, but they do list if they're a no-kill shelter.
Good luck.

Have you tried placing an ad in your local paper. And let whoever is willing to take them agree to properly care for them and keep in touch with you. If they are not willing to do so...hold out for a better home. Keep trying until you find one. And if you must...make them sign a simple contract stating that if they fail to do so that you can take your cats back and place them in another home. I don't think you should have a problem trying to place them. Just go with your gut. If you have a funny feeling the people adopting won't abide by your wishes...then don't do it. Wait until it feels right. I know I sound cheesy, but I think it's great that you want to make absolutely sure they go to a good home and that you want to know how they are doing. Too bad more people aren't like that.

Most shelters will not let you dictate the adoption procedure. If you need to have contact with the person adopting them, you find homes for them yourself!!!!! The job of the shelter is not to "broker" you a home for the cats that fits YOUR needs. If they are "skittish" it will be VERY hard to get them adopted. I work in a cat shelter and it is hard enough to find homes for the outgoing ones, what do you want them to do with skittish ones??????? You wording says it all.....you want an adoption agency for cats....not a shelter!!!! Keep them or find homes for them yourself!!!!!!!!!!!!

Go to Petfinder.com
They have a list of adoption agencies in your area after you type in your zip code
You will find the complete list of options on the left hand side of the site once you go to the website

What ever you do, DO NOT give to Peta. It is most likly that they will put the cats to sleep without even trying to find a home for them.
