My Mom's cat does that as well......try giving them smaller portions of a completely organic food (and i dont mean "Purina" or any other sh*t food like that) That food is like McDonald's but for cats.
Go to a Natural Pet Food store and talk to someone there (they will have a better idea of how to help you)
Also most food that a Vet sells are not considered "natural"
Here are some to try from a "natural" pet food store:
~Innova
~California Natural
~Solid Gold
These are dry foods
And try these wet foods:
~Merric (not spelt right)
~Precise
~Prairre (again, not spelt right)
These should get you started.......also pick up "The Nature of Animal Healing" by Dr. Goldsteen. It will open your eyes to the wonderful world of holistic medicine for animals.
GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!

I am wondering the same thing. My cat seems to throw up alot too. I have noticed that if I only give her little bits of food at a time she doesn't do it. So try feeding the cats smaller meals more often.
We always tease our cat that she is bulimic because she is really skinny. But she is really healthy and I don't think its a health problem.

it is possible that they may have allergies to the foods you give them, but since it is getting warmer they are shedding more. and they lick it and it makes lots of hairballs. try getting some hairball stuff from the store and see if that works. they are like little treats and cats like them. they help break up the hair in their stomachs and they don't throw it up as much. if that does not work the vet has hair ball stuff but that is expensive. also a little hair brush, and brush them at least every other day will help get some of the hair off them and help with hairballs.

My cat does that every once in a while either she eats to much or shes got a hairball. Are they indoor cats or outdoor cats ? How many do you have? Are they both throwing up ? You may want to call a vet and ask them. Good luck.

There are many reasons why your cat may be vomiting his/her food-yes dietary indiscretion is one but also Kidney/liver problems can be an issue too. I would discuss this with my vet and have the cat examined and ideally do some blood work, you may even have to try a special prescription diet like an intestinal diet.Let me know.

I have an elderly cat that also throws up her food, we discovered that it was the dye's in the food making her sick, many cat foods contain different colored pellets and those are dyed. You could try a solid colored cat food like science diet and that might help. Good Luck.

It could be the food they are being given..Some food that is suggested for a certain age group is not safe. Try a coupld of foods and if it persists see a vet...If you are worried contact a vet immediately. Some of my cats older cats eat my youger cats food and then get a little ill...vica verca...

My cats couldn't eat colored cat food. I bought many different kinds and they kept throwing up. I was buying the colored food, because it looked like they were getting a different variety. Finally, I bought Purina cat chow and they kept it down. I couldn't believe it. I finally realized that it was plain brown. I've never had a problem since.

Are you sure you're not talking about hairballs? Cats lick themselves clean, and ingest a lot of hair doing so, which they occasionally vomit up (looks like hot dogs, sort of). If your cat is vomiting all the time and not just occasionally, see a vet.
