One is large (almost 17 lbs) and slightly over wieght, the other is about 5 pounds very fit. I want the larger one to lose about two pounds. How much should I feed them and how can I help the larger lose the wieght?
Thanks

I started feeding them very healthy wieght management food from purina. They won't eat apart, I've tried. And I need to know how much!

There are a few things you want to consider when feeding your cats, like if they are "fixed", how much energy they use, age, sex, etc.
If the one cat is within it´s proper wight and the other is slightly overweight you could choose to feed both a low calorie. I usually feed my cats half a cup in the morning and half a cup in the evening. They are spayed and all they do is lay around all day.
Younger cats require more calories than older cats, so you may have to feed one less than the other,

Cats usually eat till they are full (unlike dogs who will eat as long as there is food out). There are so many different kinds of cat foods out there, you need to look for one that promotes weight loss. Iams, Pro-Choice to name a couple.

Maybe you should feed them separately, and give the larger one "diet" catfood. I think that Purina makes a weight-loss formula catfood

Cats rarely overeat. I just put them out some food and they eat on it on and off till it is gone. There is a dry food for overweight cats.

Lighten up they are cats. Some cats are big and fat others are a bit scrawny, but none of them care about there weight.
You should:
Cut out canned catfood for your fat cat. Leave dry food out for both cats.
