a few days ago i gave them a bath. they dont like water so seldom bath them. but that day the weather was cold. then today i found one of them couldnt move their hind legs anymore. i was afraid it wil be paralyzed. is it rheumatism? wat went wrong? plz help me. it cant walk normally now.

My betta fish is laying at the bottom of the bowl, she is a new fish and for the first 3 days I got her she was active swimming around, blowing at the other fish in the bowl next to her.

I wonder if she is cold. Her water feels very cold, for a tropical fish. I was wondering if I should get a 10 gallon tank with a water heater? Of course I'll use a divider and place the other betta in with her.

Do you think I shoud get a 10 gallon with a heater? So that she stays warm?

Why do you think she is laying at the bottom, her water is clean, and I feed her well.

uhmm, hi. i've had parakeets for almost 2 years. first, i had a blue and green bird but then later on, the blue one passed away :/ . so i got a white bird. then after a year, my dad accidentally left the cage door a little open, so my green one ran away -_- T_T. a few weeks ago, i bought another brid. he's bright blue. long time ago, i used to be very 'into' my birds and watched them everyday. and i'm sure that they liked me too. the white one, (my favorite bird so far) has learned to perch on my finger for almost a year. the birds were kept in the garage becuase my mom dislikes the feathers and the smell. later on, my dad said that they'd be better off outside in my backyard. now it is hanging a little higher than my head on the brick wall. whenever i put my finger in the cage and get my white bird ( rex) to go on my finger, it steps away like he is scared. he NEVER really likes to be outside his cage.(i think) . although on internet, it says that birds want to explore outside and lik

I've had her since she was born basically, but have only had her as a house dog since she was about 3-4 months old. She was always a skiddish puppy. She's 11 months old now and although she's gotten a little bit better, she still freaks out if I make any sudden movements. She will not come when I tell her to. She cowers when I go to pet her, and then when I pet her, she's okay. She will not sit in my lap or anything of that nature.

my cat ha been keeping his ear folded over so we lifted it up and discovered it was bleeding!!! any ideas explaining why it is bleeding? please help!!!
-----more info on my cat:
orange tabby, male, history of fleas and worms, no histor of bleeding of any sort

My miniature male poodle, Ollie, is one year old. After serious consideraton, we have recently adopted Ollie's brother from an elderly woman. So now we have Ollie and Danny Boy, who are brothers. Ollie is not neutered and Danny Boy is neutered. Ollie will not stop humping Danny Boy. Ollie is going nuts and is wild until he is left to hump Danny Boy. We love both of them and need a solution to the problem. Help!

Ok i just got a puppy from a friend of mine..its a mix..and its a month and a half old.. it just threw up a little..and i ran to get a tissue to clean it up..and by that time she ate some of the throw up...i kept some food and some water out in its dishes..but it hasnt eaten or drank yet...it seems very tired and has already slept for a couple of minutes..i need to know why its throwing up and what i can do to help it..it keeps whining most of the time..help please..i want to help it feel better

I have no idea how social rats are... is it better to have one, two, or even three? Also, any advice pertaining to rats would be greatly appreciated...
(Yeah I was sitting in my biopsych lecture today and there was this really cute picture of some lab rats and now I want a pet rat.)

Also, I would be keeping it/them in my room, which is kind of dark. I have plants in here as well and they do okay, but would it be a bad idea to keep rats in an environment where there's not a lot of sunlight? (I also have cats so it's necessary to keep any rats in my room where I can shut the door and the cats can't get in)

okay...so i have a 10 week old puppy, he's adorable and i love him to death but he tears up the carpet and my shoes whenever he's out. i've tried cage training (although, i am not very familiar with how to do it exactly) and he still poo's and pee's in my room. and also--i think he has fleas!! how do i get rid of this?! and how do i train him to sit, speak, stay...etc.!! please help...this is the first dog i've ever owned b4. he's gotten his shots and everything i'm just not sure what to do next!! thanks!!

Hi obviously from the question I have a dog that needs to be potty trained. Well actually its more like she knows where she's suppose to pee and stuff but sometimes she just does her wastes on the carpet! (i guess its the same as needing to be potty trained tho lol) It really makes my parents angry and I'm scared they might give her away!! 1st. I want another lizard to go with one of my others(less tanks, more lizards). I have a Water dragon thats about 11/2 feet long, including his tail. I really want another one but the only place to get the they are 8-12 inches! Would my bigger one eat the smaller one? If it would how would 2 golden gecko do? The are full grown where I would buy it.

2nd. Can you keep crickets in the fridge and just get them out b4 you feed? Will they still be alive?

The problem is that I live in rural Wyoming and the closest store that carries it is over 2 hrs away. Does anyone know a place online that I could get it, that the shipping isn't as much as the food itself? I can afford the food but not if I have to pay twice the amount to get it to me.

Just so you know I'm not asking if it is a good food, I already know it is; just where I can get it at good shipping prices.

I brought my kitten home 4 days ago- I have 2 big cats but cant let them in with him as they might attack him. I tried to let him sleep with me but he peed on the bed so I had to lock him in my adjoining bathroom. Every night now he meows so loudly, he sticks his paws under the door and also meows through the space under the door. My fiance and I can ignore it (just!) but last night the neighbour from across the road yelled out for us to shut the cat up- it was that loud and piercing! I am in a bit of a rough neighbourhood and really dont want to annoy the neighbours. I can only imagine what he's like when we go to work all day! What can I do?

im a first time puppy owner.My puppy is 10 weeks old.I just got her last week.we're training her to be a guard dog as well as a companion.Im so proud of her the ways shes learning so fast.I fell in love with her the minute i saw her.I love her so much already.shes already starting to be protective of me and follows me everywhere like a little puppy..hehe.she makes me laugh sooo muchhhh.Im just worried that when shes full grown im just going to miss those puppy years and wish she was a puppy again.Is it normal to feel that way and will it pass.

my uncle's dog had puppies and he gave me one for my birthday....
the mother wasnt registered,and no one knows who the father was...but they did see him..this puppy is half german shepherd and half husky...
he is scheduled for shots this week,and we are signing him up for a medical care plan at the vets...
but what do i do about registering him?

My condo is 2400 square and the longest my dog will be left alone perday is 4-5 hours. I don't want a dog that sheads or smells and I'm looking for a small to medium sized dog. Theres is a large park near by so I will be able to give my dog a suffient amount of exercise. The dog will not be around children regularly but if It does come in contract I don't want it to attack them either. I don't live in the best neighborhood either so if someone attempts to break in when I'm not there, I'd live the dog to be able to scare off intruders. What do you recomend?

I have a Lab mix and I have problems controlling its barking (has very loud barking-can get annoying) and bringing it under control when it gets very excited when it sees a visitor. I did simple training for my dog myself-he knowsw how to sit, down,stand and even jumps through hula hoops(when he feels like doing!). But he only does it when he is alone with me at home.When he goes out, he seems to forget even basic commands such as sit and it gets on my nerves when he always drags me around when he is on the leash.Please help me understand my dog and train him properly! Thanks in advance!

I have a 15 month old quaker parrot named pixel! i have just noticed that her feathers are no longer as well kept as she usulaly keeps them. Also, she does not as willingly come out of her cage for me. I've also noticed a few blood feathers on her and larger feathers on the bottom of her cage. What is going on? IS she sick or something?
