I highly suggest that you adopt Reba in Lakewood, and save her life, and your money. :)

Teacup yorkies are real just yorkies or whatever breed being bred to be smaller, Answer: Yes it is a scam do not buy a puppy sight unseen go to a shelter or a breeder but see the puppy first so you know what you are getting, odds are the shipping is going to money for him on a puppy he never had or already sold/gave away

First of all, there are no such thing as teacup yorkies. Teacup is a made up marketing term to sell extra small dogs. And yorkies are a very expensive breed. Even more expensive if they are extra small. Be prepared to spend a good 3,000.

You're just plain **** out of luck.

Yorkies are one of the most expensive breeds out there. Either you save up and buy one from a good breeder, or you skimp and get a cheap one from a lousy breeder and pay through the nose for vet bills.

"Teacup" yorkie is a scam artists label-there is no such thing as a "teacup" thats just a term for breeding runts to runts and ending up with sickly little dogs

You realize there's no such breed called "teacup yorkshire terrier". There's only one breed called Yorkshire Terrier. Teacup name is made up by backyard breeders so it sounds cute and sell for higher price. If you are looking for a smaller size, or the runt of the litter, have you tried your local shelters? You should go with your daughter so she learns lessons about treating animals right and she's saving a dog's life from being euthanized.

Google rescues in your area or go to petfinder.com and see who is available that is close by. You cannot buy from a petstore/puppy mill ~ it's such a horrible situation, not to mention there are wonderful dogs being put to sleep in shelters daily. In the meantime these puppy mills are breeding sickly animals that people buy and go through heartache over. Go to the HSUS.org website before you make any rash decisions!!!

Why do you want a runt? There's no such thing as a 'teacup' anything...they're just the runts.

They still don't exist. You're still looking for a "poorly bred runt sold by irresponsible breeders to gullible - or stupid - buyers."

And if you're worried about the purchase price of the dog, forget it - you won't be able to afford the veterinary bills that come with these irresponsibly bred runts.

Edited to add - For your Daughter? According to this question of yours, you're only in the 10th grade...

please do research into these "teacup puppies". You will only cause your daughter heartache by buying her one. They are so small because they are breed from runts and are at higher risk of conditions. Please buy a regular yorkie!
