I have never heard of "grass poisoning". However, dogs can become very ill due to lawn fertilizers, is this what you are referring to?

ADD: If your dog has these symptoms, he needs to get to a veterinarian asap.

Oh my, I would be freaking out if that was my dog! Do you know for sure if your dog is allergic to grass? I know that this happens - I ran into a little chihuahua yesterday that was just diagnosed as allergic to grass, but he only got rashes.

I would be really concerned that your dog ingested some fertilizer or worse yet - pest killer - that was sprayed on the grass. I know that a lot pest killers now adays are coagulants - they slowly dehydrate a mouse to death so when it dies, it won't smell. Unfortunately, these coagulant poisons are also very effective on cats and dogs.

Honestly, it really sounds like your dog has been poisoned. You should take him to the vet immediately. Most areas have emergency vets that are open from 5pm to 8am. I had to take my dog to one once when he swallowed something that he shouldn't have. If it is a mouse poison or something like that, even minutes count, and if you wait until the morning, it may be too late for your dog.

Good luck!

With these symptomes it's time to go to the vets immediately. Do not wait you may not have a live dog tomorrow.

when dogs get stomache aches they eat grass to help them throw up. I dont believe there is anything to worry about. Look at the dogs tongue, if its pale then the dog should go to the vet quick!

hey there. is your dog still sick? i'm a vet tech and would like to help but need more info. email me if you need help at elizabethzurcher@yahoo.com by the way, allergies to grass would show up as a skin irritant so your dog has something much more serious going on.

WHY AREN'T YOU A THE VET?
Your dog is obviously sick. Vomiting, even for a short while, is never good. Shivering is never good. Drinking abnormal amountsof water is not good. (I mean like ALOT of water)
Not eating is never good
A weak dog is never good unless she had been weak since birh
