A month and a half old is way too young to have been taken away from its mother. How long have you had the dog? How long has it not eaten? If it's not eating, it could be a sign of depression from missing its mother. There are many reasons why it could have thrown up. If it continues for more than a few days, the pup needs to go to the vet.

Please! Take up ALL food. Do NOT feed any more food of any kind to that puppy until it has a bowel movement. If, when it does, it is runny DO NOT GIVE IT FOOD UNTIL YOU SEE A VET.
That puppy has some of the early symptoms of parvo. No I am not saying that is what it has 100%. I am a tech... not a vet. BUT if it is parvo... any and every bite of food that he eats can bring him closer to the rainbow bridge.
I am really not trying to scare you but I would rather do that and help you save a life than just sit here and say nothing and watch a bad situation get out of hand.
IF his next "poop" appears normal. Give him a very small meal and wait a few hours and see how that sits with him.
PLEASE let us know how it turns out.
~Tyed~
Sorry... I didn't want any confusion. Dont take up water and also feel free to give the little guy pedialite while you wait for "the" potty! :)

well i mean the puppy eating its throw up as nasty as it seems, it is good for them.. you no how people say to drink flat gingerale when you have the flu? well the gingerale is substituting eating your throwup.. when you throw up you are not just throwing up food, but many nutrients as well.. so the next time she throws up, let her eat it it will replenish the nutrients back in her stomach. And chances are, her stomach does not like the food you are giving her... you need to buy good quality pet food for your puppy. Stay away from the pet foods you get in the grocery store, go to an actual pet store.. it is much more expensive, but it is worth it for the health. Just try to get her to drink some water and just let her sleep. I have a 4 month old siberian husky and he eats everything... most of the things he eats he shouldnt... when he eats strings and things that he is not supposed to or tinfoil or anything like that most of the time he pukes it up... so just see how she/he is and if she is not better in the morning, call the vet and make an appointment.. dont worry too much though, she/he will be fine. I hope she/he feels better.. and if it comes down to it, maybe the puppy just needs its mother for another week or two... some puppys need the nutrition from their mothers until they are around 8 weeks old, so if it doesnt feel better, maybe you should consider that.

Are you feeding the puppy the same food it had been on? A sudden diet change is the leading cause of stomach and intestinal upset in dogs. Is it a small breed? They can have low blood sugar problems, which can cause weakness. The whining could be because of a painful tummy or gas. It doesn't take long for a puppy to become dehyrated from vomiting--you might need a vet visit to straighten things out.

Okay I'm going to voice an opinion... I can understand that the US Troops are ORDERED to kill each animal/dog on sight because they're afraid of rabies(Although not all dogs have rabies obviously). So they're all paranoid and scared to the point of irrationality. So let's not crucify each US troop for killing a dog. That being said I still have a big problem with the Marine throwing the dog. The problem isn't that he killed the dog. The problem is that he killed the dog CRUELLY. Shooting the dog would have been humane. Joking about it, and being sadistic, and throwing the dog was totally inhumane. I can understand that they're in a war and they're going to be tweaked. But remember our military VOLUNTEERED to serve. They weren't drafted. They should have the mental fortitude to understand what they were getting into, and the right judgement for the situation. In fact the video doesn't even show what WAR has done to them. The video shows what BOREDOM has done to them, and it's sad and pathetic and he should have known better. There is many evidence that the video was real, that the dog was alive. 1) The dog has it's tail tucked in. 2) The dog has it's legs tucked in also. 3) Dead dogs don't have it's tail and legs tucked in. 4) The dog yelping DOES fade out. Dead or not... Whoever made the video and whoever participated in it... Showed how sick and twisted they are.

It might be a change of food if you changed to different food.If it doesnt show improvement call your vet and tell them what is going on. Also, you should probably take it into the vet for its first shots. Has it ate any rawhides or pig ears? Some of that stuff is bad for a puppys digestive and they cant digest it and it makes them sick. For the whining,it is probably just missing its brothers and sisters. Dogs are pack animals and they get used to sleeping together. You can try a soft toy or stuffed animal for it to sleep with, or an alarm clock, the windup kind. They hear the ticking noise of the clock and they feel alone. But you should check with a vet because you dont want him or her to get dehydrated.

I would check and see if your puppy has worms. That would most likely make your puppy sick and then the puppy wouldn't want to eat. I would also talk to a vet about the puppy. You can look in the phone book and call around to ask questions about the puppy's condition. You may need to take the puppy to the vet but I would call a couple places first.

Contact a vet, do not force the puppy to eat but try to get it hydrated. Some sites recomend giving peptobismol to puppies (it protects the linen of the stomach) but I never use it unless I can figure out what's causing the puppy to be sick (indigestion, a lot of movement after eating, eating table scrap, etc), it's not recomended if the puppy is not vaccinated because it may uncover the symptoms of a more important disease (like parvo).

You can feed it boiled chicken that has had the skin removed and rice for now. Then take it to the vet tomorrow if it hasn't gone yet, it probably needs to be wormed and put on an antibodic for intestinal parasite. Coccidia is very commen in little puppies, you will need to get a stool sample and take it with you to the vet. Good luck, your pup should be just fine with the proper care.

No matter what, take the puppy to a vet. The vet can get you settled out about vaccines and everything.
