i have a pomeranian and i want her to get pregnant at her most developed stage. But i know nothing when it comes to dog breeding because she is my first dog. I wanna know how many months can a dog become ready for mating and when is the perfect time it is fertile. How can i guarantee that my dog will be pregnant after mating?

We have a Kelpie who has had 7 pups. She has been a great mum up until the last few days. She is becoming a bit aggressive with the pups and is not letting them feed as often. I am worried that she is going to hurt one of them. We have just started to seperate the pups from her for a few hours at a time but she seems to be even more aggresive with them sice doing so. Is this normal and what can we do?

I can see if it's the middle of the night and doesn't seem to be an emergency, asking how to keep your pet more comfotable until you can get to the vet. But a lot of people seem to want to use YA as a substitute for a vet. This is animal cruelty if you ask me.
And don't say maybe they can't afford a vet-if you can't afford healthcare for them you have no business having them.

my friend went on holiday and I have been going to her house every day to feed her cats. Yesterday, when I came out of her house I was literally covered in fleas, so much so that I stripped off my jeans and shirt in her driveway so I could shake them all off and get them off my body! My husband and 2 children were with me and they appeared to be flea-free,needless to say ,when we returned home we all showered immediately and washed the clothes we were wearing.My dilemma now is that she is returning from holiday in a couple of days and will be paying us a visit along with her husband and 3 kids.Does anybody know if it is likely that they will carry their fleas into our house as it is only a 5 minute drive from their house to ours? All answers gratefully received as I am going out of my mind!

She got her rabies shots the next day, so I don't know if observing her would help, but she's not acting weird or anything.

I got anti-rabies shots around a year and 3 months ago when another puppy bit me.

I've researched and they say non-bites don't usually require anti-rabies shots but my mom is paranoid and insists that I ask people.

My mother has a lung condition, and after tests from two different doctors, they determined she is allergic to cat hair and dander. She owns two cats, an older Siamese and a younger tiger, the siamese is neutered, the tiger spayed.

I think the tiger would adapt if taken to a shelter, but the siamese would not.

Any suggstions appreciated. I an also allergic to cats, but love that siamese.

Does anyone know what this could be? They sort of started off as red spost and turned black. He is outside mostly and I bathe him once a week and use baby shampoo and also Sergeants tick and flea shampoo for fleas as he constanly plays with stray cats. I use Frontline on him but doesn't seem to do anything for the fleas. Someone told me to use Avon Skin so Soft, so I just tried that this week and see if it repells the fleas.

Will these black spots go away? They started at the bottom of him belly and when I bathed him on Saturday I noticed they are now all over his back too. Not sore or raised, just flat black spots.

He is white and brown/gold.

Please help!

We think she may be pregnant! we brought her to the vet and took x-rays but no puppies. the doctor said just because we dont see them doesnt me there not there.
She has white discharge, she has a change in mood. And she is very fat fatter then i have ever seen a dog. If you have any answers for me please i need to kno if this is serious or if she is just pregnant. This isnt the time to diss me what has happend is irreversible so no negativity please and thanks very much.

alrite well at nite, we put our new dog in the crate since we can't watch him. we keep inside since we dont want neighbors to complain. he's just not use to this crate yet because when we take him outside, he doesnt need to go. any sugestions? please answer seriously. we do put toys and such in there.

i asked a question the other day, and got many answers.

. i called the vet, they said try wet dog food, versus the regular dry, and increase liquids.....

another said canned pumpkin to move bowels.. will this work? have you tried it?

then olive oil,,, which does make sense to me ....
has anyone had good results with any of these???

my niece bought a bullfrog tadpole and its back legs are sprouting, they are extremely small, yet toes are distinct. the tadpole is about 2.5-3 inches long, the bodie itslef is only an inch, so how much longer till it grow into a frog? or atleast how long until it needs some land i should say, that way i can by him a diff. aquaruim

How long does a female remain in heat? How often do they come into heat? How old are they when they can first start going into heat? What is the earliest age you can spay and neuter? I think my yorkie may be pregnant? Accident! What are some signs? Other than the obvious! Droopy nipples and big tummy! I think our male may have just gotten her! How can we tell this soon in! She just recently went into heat! I want to have her spayed so it doesn't happen again but the vet said to wait until her heat is over! We just got her (adopted her about 3 weeks ago) and our male may have gotten to her! Also we are having my male neutered tomorrow! What can I do to help him through afterwards? Also I ask how early can they be spayed and neutered so that if she is pregnant i can spay and neuter the puppies before I find them new homes!

Tomorrow we are picking up our new puppy. We are adopting him from the Humane Society. He was a dog hiding behind the corner. He is very mellow. He has 2 white paws. One lookes like it was dipped in white paint. the other one barley has any white on it but it has a little bit on it. I've come up with 3 names. They are " Dallas,Black Heart (my brothers suggestion),and Tarazan. Do you like them? What one do you like best? What names can you think of?

Tough question my friends of everyday...
Here we go... My ex and I broke up about a month ago, we work at the same place, things haven't been great for us at work because of his childish behavior to move on after the break-up, which has afected us in the work enviroment, fortunately things seem to be getting better, today I had the bis news!! I have a male shih-tzu and he has a female chiuahua, they crossed and without even knowing exaclty she was pregnant, two days ago I found out (at work, lol) she delivered... What should I do??? I would love to see them... but im affraid he's gonna use this against me because of jealousy... do I have any rights?
