ITS NORMAL. I HAD A CAT THAT WHEN IT OPENED ITS MOUTH TO MEOW IT WAS SILENT. SHE NEVER MADE A SOUND UNTIL ONE DAY SHE WAS LOCKED IN A ROOM AND HEARD SOMEONE FILLING HER FOOD BOWL, SEE SHE LOVED HER FOOD ALOT LOL, AND THAT'S WHEN SHE FINALLY LET OUT A NOISE. BUT IT WASN'T NORMAL SOUNDING IT WAS HIDEOUS. SO I JUST DECIDED THAT SHE WAS BORN THAT WAY, YOU KNOW SOMETHING DIDN'T DEVELOP RIGHT. BUT SHE WAS HEALTHY AND FINE. SO DON'T WORRY.

I don't think you should wait. Her bad temper could indicate she's in a lot of pain. That lump (and possibly the pain in her tummy) could be the result of deep bite wounds. Sure you could just wait and see if it heals on it's own, but I think a responsible owner would want to reduce the chance of her dying of septicemia by getting her some treatment. Her rolling and meowing: I'm not sure whether this means she's still in heat. I think it could mean 'I'm in pain and can't let you touch me, but I still love you!' There's a possibility the vet will need to anesthetize her to clean out and treat any wounds. If so you should definitely think about getting her spayed at the same time. Right now any kittens are nothing more than a few cells. Think about whether you can cope with getting them their shots, looking after them for 8-12 weeks (maybe feeding every two hours day and night if mum can't), providing emergency care (eg cesarean), finding good homes for them (when many shelters are having to put kittens down because there are so many around). There's also some possibility that mum, and maybe any kittens she produces, will have been infected with FIV and/or FeLV. Spayed mum will be at less risk of this sort of thing happening again, and less risk of cancers in the long term. Edit: You could phone the vet and ask if they do a payment plan. They may also be able to direct you to a low cost clinic. I wouldn't start a 'campaign' against the cat that came in. You don't know for sure it's him that bit your girl (even if she does turn out to have been bitten). What stray/feral cats need is TNR (trap neuter return) schemes that neuter them to reduce fighting, unwanted kittens and spread of disease. He's not evil, just doing what comes naturally. To be honest, if your girl did test positive, for example, for FIV, there's no way you could know for sure she didn't have it before. Lots of pet cats do, and there's often no way of knowing unless they/their parents are tested. And yours was a stray too... You could try and find a TNR scheme from a local animal charity if there are many stray/feral cats in your area. Putting up posters and contacting newspapers is more likely to get a lot of cats persecuted and killed.

All cats have different voices, I have this male cat who looks very impressive but hardly makes more sound than a mouse. I wouldn't worry about it.

She may have a cold, or some tumour (I hope not, though, but it's better to check). If she is fine but she always sounds like that, it may just be her voice. I knew a cat whose voice was absolutely herendous, but he is a lovely and beautiful cat nonetheless.

What breed is she? It's probably completely normal for her breed, don't worry about it.
I had a Norweigian Forest cat that made no sound when she meowed...unless she was asking me for help.

Was she meowing normally before? If so, take her to the vet - she may have something wrong with her throat.
