my chameleon is only about 7-8 inches and is a year old at max and is 11 months old at minimun. Is smal for its age?

Hi, I have a tank which is about 50litres in size, I bought a Leopard Catfish last week but have since read a lot online that says that they should be kept in shoals of around 5 fish? Is this true? Would it be ok to keep just 2?
The woman in the fish shop didnt tell me this and I wouldnt have bought it if I had known I had to keep so many of them as I dont particularly want to fill my wee tank with catfish no matter how pretty they are!

I have feeder goldfish for over two years. One is slightly larger than the other and seems to have always had a few health problems, but usually bounces back with time. This time he really looks bad, and seems to be suffering. He is twisting and twirling around in the tank and has been face down, tail up in the gravel since last night. He is still using his gills, but it looks like the end. Is there something I can or should do to ease his passing?

My mom and I were thinking about fostering puppies and dogs. But we have no idea where to begin. We love dogs and pets and im going to get a Mini Dacshund and im going to be watching my friends beagle. So has anyone done this before?? And where can I start? Website maybe?

Hi,
Yesterday me and my friends went to petco and one of my friends got a gold mystery snail to go in with her turtle. Well we put it in the tank and next thing we know is the turtle was trying to eat him it seems. So we decided it needed to go in a different tank so we put it in her tropical 10 gallon, though 2 minutes later I remembered that I put Jungle Brand Fungal Meds in there so we scooped it out and put it in with the a male betta in a 2.5 gallon, but then we remembered that the water had a little salt in it, so we put him in with a betta she was watching in a 1/4 gallon. Well he kept trying to get the lid off and was trying to get out of the water and we didn't want to find him laying somewhere so we put him in a female betta cup with 2" of water and 1" of air which is now where he still is. So my question is could I put Sunny back in the 10 gallon after she does a 1/4 water change or will the meds still harm him.

She seems to be very friendly and was good around my little brother. She was a show dog that has had three litters of puppies and her owner wants her to retire and have a relaxing life now. Part of the agreement is that we have to get her spayed. She has a couple of cysts - on on her back and one on her belly. The owner said they can be easily removed by the vet, which I know to be true because I had a Dane before and he had cysts. The only thing I don't like about this dog is that she seems to be very slobbery and my mom doesn't want slime all over the walls and floors. All in all she seemed really friendly, though. We have no other pets at home and there would be no one home during the day (everyone's at work and school) but she would potentially get walked once in the morning by my dad and once by me at night. Do you think getting her is a good idea?

I'm moving at the end of August. A few years ago I started feeding the stray cats. There are two, a yellow tabby (male)and a blackwcat(female) They both meow when they see the can of food.

About a month ago the black cat came with three kittens. In the end I know that the two adults can survive, they've been doing that all their life and the kittens are learning, but there's one, the one that looks like their mother.One day I left the door open while I went to get their food and he came in my house. He was always the one that had the most trust with me. Now he came in again today and he let me pick him up.I was thinking of taking him to the Toronto Humane Society, but he only trusts me. I want to know what they'll do with him, if he can't be adopted? I can't leave him, I fell like I'd be leaving my own cat in the streets? I also can't take him there knowing there's a chance they might kill him? I want to take him with me ...I cry when I'm alone, I think of him as my own...

i got this new vitiman chew for my rabbits and it had a pink dye in it
when they chewed it up it got into a powder and now they have pink feet.... can i use baby shampoo and just bathe their feet

He's about 20lbs.He's our only cat & his bowl always has food.We've been feeding him purina indoor formula.We'd like to upgrade to a food that's reasonably priced & easier for him to digest.I saw someone mention friskies dental care has bigger morsels,But wouldn't the ingredients be the same? Any insight you may have would be beneficial.Thanks John

But today i woke up and found a white/clear film stuff floating in the tank..it wasn't everywhere it was just like a little piece..I tried to go in and get it out but it fell to the bottom of the tank. I took my horse to a show that laster 3 days long. He was in the stall much of his time simply because it was hot and some days i didnt show. I filled up his water bucket, gave extra hay and yet the next morning his waterbucket was shaped weird and there was poop in it. I was watching him and he tried to do it again. He sat on it pretty much. What should i do/

In NYC - The bird was clutching onto the outside grill of my air conditioner and squawked everytime we tried to get near it. It wasn't stuck, it just didn't want to leave. All animal agencies closed (10:30/11pm Sunday night).
Would you wait until first thing in the morning and call Animal Care & Control agency/ASPCA (if it's still there - at the sight of things, it wasn't going anywhere (and no, it wasn't injured)) to rescue it or do something more immediate? ...any other options?

My riding instructor trains and sells horses for people. She got a horse that I really like, and she likes him a lot, too.
The problem is he is for sale, and too expensive for either of us to buy.
Is it possible to share ownership with another person? That way we could each pay 50%, and that is affordable.
I would probably save up to buy him completely. I just don't have enough money at the moment, and his owner wants him sold fast.

my next door neighbor killed her sick cat by giving it aspirin or benadryl through a syringe. she hates me so she grabbed mine up when it was in her yard and we found it later so sleepy and horrible sick. he died later that night. i am so sad. how could i prosecute them? we have five children and they are such awful people when we had a small ceremony out in front...(to the side by the garden actually) they found funeral music and played it while they clapped. we've thrown a couple of cheap shots in from time to time..but i think this went way too far. an animal died here. it's just so sad.
